It always amazes me how some women KNOW what drives males or even what is it to be one; I mean why would thy even whant to know other that use it as a source of selfesteem with their own sex. Or having a job that has been in general a male domain

Well, in third-person action games.. .I prefer to play as women. I'd rather watch a woman running around the entire game than a guy. With that said, I also say hell no to it when a guy offers my female character love, romance, etc..... I like women, only women... and two women going at it as as sexayyyyy as it gets. At least in my opinion.

They should've made better fem on fem romance and actually have EXPANDED on what was in the original, not go backwards. Other than that great game.... now I actually have to create a guy character to get with that tattooed girl and a certain someone who's female from the original (no spoilers right?) LOL. Starts with a T. All of my playthroughs were with a female commander shepard (choosing Liara every time of course) in ME1. Not to mention, I really shouldn't have to play through ME1 again, getting a new character to level 60 in order to be able to import that for the bonuses meanwhile u can change EVERYTHING, except the name and gender (and choices of course). I mean.. cmon. That's not fair for us who earned it fair and square. If the info I received on that was wrong please let me know, then making a new shepard wouldn't be so bad and I could start from ME2, the game that I want to play as I've played the heck out of ME1 this last month, several extensive playthroughs.. I've been sitting on my collector's edition of ME2 and I'm about to play it by importing my level 60 character... but when I'm done, if there isn't some update about the fem on fem romances, I'd make a guy character either in that playthrough or the following and feel it would be fair to still earn those "bonuses"... u know how u unlock something in ME1 or DA:O and it's there for all applicable characters. Or at least be able to change the character completely so it's like the same thing, and just backup my main save (just the way my character was in ME1, going through ME2, for ME3).

Sorry for the novel, but there we go.

TBH, I could care less if there's male on male romance... I would prefer not to see it but I guess there's some of you who want to see that. But severely limiting the fem on fem romance after DA:O with Leliana is just cruel (from what I was told by friends and read, I guess I'll find out although for my "carryover to ME3" save I'm gonna stick with Liara, unless Tali isn't fugly under that mask and makes for a deep fem/fem relationship if they ever make it available (if there's no way to do it now)... don't know about the tattooed girl, she seems badass but she needs balance.. if they make her workable for fem/fem then it would be out of those three for ME3, unless of course ME3 or some ME2 dlc/updates brings some pleasant surprises to the table.

Bioware is still a great company even if they did take a step backwards from DA:O with the fem on fem romance.... or maybe where I've read and who I've heard from were exaggerating, I guess I'll see.. either way the Mass Effect series is probably one of, if not my favorite RPGs.  DA:O is up there to (KoTOR 1 & 2, yes I know they only did 1... belong on my fav list but I prefer the newer games... also Jade Empire another great game, but I think ME is the Halo of RPG's at this point... it's straight up epic and VERY successful... and most gamers will always by the sequels, prequels, dlc, etc... bcuz Bioware tries hard to give their customers what they want and so far they have been delivering all amazing games), I'm very picky with RPG's... I need adult themes (not jrpg's that seem they are built for young teens) with lots of choices, character development including depth, and of course a kickass story.  Mass Effect 1 had that written all over it and from what I hear ME2 is even better, so with that said I'm gonna start playing it in a lil bit.  =)

Look at is this way: Bioware would lose more sales from people who don't want homosexual options in ME than they would lose sales of people who do. They have to cater to the majority, unfortunately.

I'm a Male Shep taping chick ass through and through, but I think it would be nice for people who want a gay encounter to get one. I mean, there's a lesbian one, it's only right.Everyone gets enjoyment out of the game.

Sexual preferences are a truly conplicated thing. I've known heterosexual males who are disgusted by lesbian scenes, heterosexual males who do like lesbian scenes, and some who don't particularly mind either way (I fall into this last category). There are heterosexual females who are disgusted by gay scenes (like my ex), heterosexual females who are obsolutely fascinated by yaoi, and again, those who fall in between. Stereotypes may be generalisations, but they are only a high-level categorisation. The further you delve into any category, the more unique and unusual the people in it become.



Personally speaking, I feel that Bioware SHOULD include an openly homosexual (both gay AND lesbian characters, if possible) character in one of their games. Tolerance and understanding of different people is never a bad thing. I'll understand, though, if they demur due to economic costs or are just wary of pushing the line too much.



Oh, and I have no problems playing characters of either gender. On another MMO that I play (Guild Wars, if anybody's interested), I have an equal balance of male and female characters. I usually find it easier to relate to male characters, but I also enjoy trying to see things from a female perspective.
