There's at least 5 threads complaining about how ME isn't an damn rpg waste time in those threads.

Handheld names this false as there was one on the main page and 2 on the second page. Handheld also thinks that making 2388024023840 threads about it isnt going to help. Sure Handheld is sad it didnt make it who doesnt like more choice but when Handheld gets on here only to see a brand new I  N33D$ G@Y N0W thread it gets irritating after seeing 980542804 many topics of the same thing. 


Handheld himself wouldnt mind if it was in one thread and people could have a civil inteligent conversation but as evident it never works out and making a new one does nothing but move the interesting topics more down the page.

Gays have as much chance as being happy as anyone else. Most of the time. Sometimes its even less. <_<

Handheld wishes this were true but unfortunately little homophobic gay bashers tend to make it Nigh impossible for some couples which Handheld himself thinks is wrong.

Mass Effect should have a gay male option period. For all the people saying John Shepard isn't gay so there's no point making a gay option, for starters you can make your own Shepard so why couldn't one that you make yourself be gay as apposed to the must be straight default john Shepard. Aside from that the female Shepard can be straight or gay. To argue that they include this because ignorant straight masses approve of girl on girl action and not Mano a Mano is not only wrong on so many levels its infuriating. The romance angle of the game is not the focal point but the fact that Bioware and the Mass Effect series have made such big steps to make a romance more then just a black screen with cheesy sex noises ( Fable, GTA ) shows that its still something they have worked on properly. The blatant segregation is offensive and the fact that bioware is willing to shrug it off as the "minority" gay fans can just go **** themselves cause we are going to cave to the ignorant masses. Well to be honest bioware your like a ****** made out of sand paper. I love everything about mass effect and think that its gotten even better in 2 but this just really pisses me off. Please consider the option in ME3. I feel dirty supporting you cowardice but I still want to play ME. Please.... T_T

 Nobody in Shepard's squad is a homosexual, nothing to do about it. You can't force them to be homosexual. If it really bothers you that much I will hope they'll put in a few gay relationships in Mass Effect 3. It's a bit odd though, Dragon Age: Origins did have a gay relationship option so it isn't like Bioware is afraid to chart into that territory.

Granted humanity as a collective whole tends to be a pretty miserable species being gay doesn't make you happier. <_< Unless you mean the non-homosexual definition of gay.

I agree with the last sentance. 

And that what he was saying was a joke.  By classing yourself by saying 'gays are happier then straight'  first of that is generalization and prejudice.  And second that actually puts 'gays' and 'straights' as totally different creatures.

Which is false.  We are all human, we all are how we are, we all have desire, and we all are wired the way we are.  Still means we are ALL just human.  Race, sexual orientation all that isn't real.  It is something society has made up to make people fit into 'groups'.  What is real is people.

Now after that little rant .  I think a lot of the avoidance of homosexuality is because of the general play of the people who use the game.  As for certain age groups and 'demographics' girls are more openly accepted then men in this regard.

Now I am not saying this is right in the least, it is just how a business will look at it.   Though I am sure if bioware really designs a character as male and attracted to other males and they really want the character that way they won't just change him.

It has nothing to do with sexuality. The game isn't set up for gay romances. It's too late now.

It has nothing to do with sexuality. The game isn't set up for gay romances. It's too late now.

Handheld finds this false it has nothing to do with how it was setup it was decided by bioware not to implement it that is an assumption and a very wrong one at that.

No its ignorant for bioware to support people who don't want male gay relationships simply because they don't like them. Ignorant and homophobic. And this stuff about sales being effected is crazy. Dragon Age was still very successful and as someone else said that has a gay relationship in it. I could argue about this for ages. Commander Shepard will never be gay, its not because your being left out, its because thats the way the story is mate.

Gay rights have nothing to do with it, Bioware is allowed to put whatever they want in their games. Your not being left out, your simply not being included. Grow up, get over it and move on. Just roleplay a character who isn't gay.
