I reccently talked to thane and he mentioned that sitting down with the crew in the mess eating with others around him was werid cause he was accustom to being alone with his back agianst the wall. At that point it came to my attention that since when has the crew felt like a crew, every one has there own little room and never move from it. Wouldnt it be cool if you at some points in the game sat down with your crew and not have it envolve you talking abou every one dieing.
With that being said the normandy sr2 was a total step up from the old sr1 cause the environment feel much more alive, but yet it felt stagnate and life less.
I would of liked to see thane or someone go into some one elses room and when you go to talk to him you have inturpt a talk with a nother person. I can understand why they didnt include this cause its unimportant and there would be some problems with finding someone butto me this would really make it for me and sell it that the ship has live occupance inside.Whats your thoughts? also ive got my flame shield up so im ready

Well, I agree on this. The ship felt more lively this time around, but there was a big, empty hole: personally, I really expected some squadmate-to-squadmate conversations. Or just some random banter. Shepard has a kind of relationship with everyone. But that's it, the squaddies are completely seperated (except for two fights, that was an improvement, just too few, too low.), hopefully it'll be improved in the next game.
And what really brakes immersion are the loading screens inside the ship. Well, even elevators would have worked better. Maybe it's just me, but I looked at a the ship, as... well, not a ship, but a ship area 1 and ship area 2... etc, while the old Normandy with the elvator still felt like one ship.

At the end of the game you see them all in the cargo bay prepping weapons together.

Well that's what happens when everyone ****es about elevators without thinking about why they existed in the first place.
We go back to load screens. Yay.

I agree. I was expecting this, as I thought I read something bioware said about more squadmate interactions. To be completely honest I don't believe shepard would be the only one that started to bunk up with people either.
Considering what romance path you take, it'd be interesting to see the game react and set certain other characters on romance paths with each other.
And I would've loved for my squadmates to move around and talk to other people(THey'd probably have to set this up that after you complete a mission or assignment they might be in a different place) And they could just have kellie mention that she saw them wondering around or something. Or comment on how these two people are becoming friends.

I preferred the elevator to the load screens, too. Like you said, it made the ship feel whole, instead of split up into separate places.
Load screens are a fact of video game life, for large games like this anyway. Maybe when they're making games with CGI and the systems are ridiculous powerful, we'll eliminate load times.
I was thinking about how funny it would have been to have walked into one of the bathrooms with someone in there. Can't resist the chance to make a good fart joke.

Yeah, there was an implication of a possible Miranda/Jacob romance on the sideline if you have other romance in progress, but it was never worked out.
The other thing I missed was the debriefings. Jacob lied down his opinion occasionly, but that's about it. I know, with the random order of picking up the squadmates and working with ten characters it would be more work to make debriefings after the missions, it would have worth it.

I would have liked to see characters and the squadmates move around the ship a bit more. To see Thane in the mess hall sitting and conversing with the 2 people from engineering would have been nice. To see Mordin and the doctor walking the halls in a heated conversation concerning Gilbert and Sullivan would have been a nice touch. To have seen the off duty NPCs in the mess hall or in a rec room, to shoot billards or darts with members of the crew would have added depth and life. It was better than ME but i think we should shoot for the moon and let the developers deliver. I did find it kind of annoying that i had to run all over the ship to talk to people instead of summoning them to my quarters but i liked that the NPCs had specific things they wanted like brandy for the doc and food stuffs for the cook. There are those of us that would like the option to do this stuff, so it should just be optional and have NO bearing on thier feelings towards you or be minimal so you only would have to do it a few times with the crew and could ignore it if you chose to as well.

im happy i didnt get flamed off the planet for the idea lol. But seriously i reacon this would make the game, it could be in place of the convo lines that are repeated. if nothing is new with the person then they will walk around even when they are walking around you can still talk. It would be nice to see mordin and the doc have a heated debait which speices docs are the best. The NPC's are made out to be real people so they should have friends and get along with other NPC's.
