Liara?

I believe there is something else going on with her and it's one of the reasons I'm going to make an entire playthrough and save where I remain loyal to her. My first one, even though I got all that dialogue with her, she just disses me in my opinion and I went with Miranda because I got to like her quite a bit doing her loyalty mission.

Shepard is a very powerful and respected individual in the galaxy, if enemies were to find out Liara was important to Shepard she could be a target to get to him/her.

She said she was being watched so it makes sense for her not to get too personal. Getting too close in that situation could put both her and Shepard in more danger than necessary if more people learned of their relationship.

Yeah... I thought of that. But you would think she would manage to get a message to him somehow if that was the case.
I'm a writer of Sci-fi/Fantasy... so I can be creative... and one thought that crossed my mind is that she is protecting someone. A child with shepard perhaps?

Lol, put Shepard in danger? Also she's already gunning for the Shadow Broker so I doubt he's going to take that down anyway.

I made a thread commenting on the lack of a child. Some think Liara didn't meld with Shepard with pro-creation in mind. The idea that she's protecting a child is intriguing, though. Still, you would think being an information specialist, she'd have secure ways of letting you know you have a daughter.
Also, who's dumb enough to kidnap Commander Shepard's daughter?

It happens all the time in fiction. If a person is too strong to take down directly go after the people they care for as a way of getting to them. Nothing strange about that. And Liara may be gunning for the SB but it doesn't mean she'll actually have the resources to take him down when the time comes.
When it comes time to take down the SB I fully expect Shepard to be involved.

I know it happens in fiction but it still doesn't make any sense. You're saying she wouldn't risk putting a man who is working for Cerberus and about to do a suicide mission in danger. The Shadow Broker already knows Liara is going after him so like I said, I don't think he'll take that.

I think the way things will go in Mass Effect 3 will definitely involve you personally taking out the Shadow Broker for Liara, and if she is the main love interest you choose, that will be the sealing deal to winning that probably blue-ish heart of hers back.
Winning it back? She's in the whole Shadow Broker situation because of her love for Shepard.

Yeah... I got that dialogue... but it still does not account for her actions once you leave. She is supposed to be a very powerful information broker now by all accounts and getting a message to shepard would be child's play I would think.
She is in the position she is in now because of her love for shepard and as someone said earlier... she is technically the one who saved his life by giving him to Cerberus to begin with... and going after shepard doesn't have a very long life expectancy for the individual doing the hunting. You would think now that he returns and comes right to her she would be different. Who the hell wants to ****** off shepard by going after his woman? Not the SB I think...
Is it in the comics that TIM told her the SB is working for the reapers? That makes sense for her actions up until shepard returns however.

You have to investigate her on the shadow broker, if you missed it, you have to wait till new game. After, she'll talk to you like normal again, not crazy and insane.
Still doesn't account for her actions towards you now. The man she supposedly would and did everything for in order to save.

there are lots of stupid/brave individuals in the galaxy. i'd liken it to common thugs from superhero comics who think they could make a name for themselves if they take out Batman or Spider-Man.
