Elven ears look like human ears with points.

simply put, his ears dont look like the full elven ears all the other elves got, it somehow looks like elven ears in the shape of human ears. I'm pretty sure it's a bug, cause when I uplaod my CC character he do have the ears, but his face is all mismatched as well, and when I make a new char I wont be able to get the right ears.

I dunno if this is being ignored, but I would like to know if there is a fix for this in the making.
I rather have my elf with the right elven ears then a bugged version.

After scouting the characters from other players here, I noticed that a lot of people have the same problem with the ears. Yet no one is bothered by it, or simply havnt noticed?

One elven lass on this forum has a custom head with custom ears she uploaded from the toolkit that are like, a foot long and actually look elven, hopefully he/she will see this thread but the name escapes me.

However, you can use the toolset to give your elf proper ears. It's not hard to do...

Here's a thread with some information about how to go about it.

Someone who possess a sence of artistic and completion which in turn cares **** about retards who dont know how to post constructive.
@Luchaire
Thanks for the helpfull feetback, guess I will play with it a bit, althought it would have been no problem if the defs simply made the ears dissapear or w/e when chars are wearing helmets... it has been done so many times by others.

Since you are being an **** let me point something out to you. This is the tech support self help secton. What you have is not a Technical Problem, thousands of people are here trying to get their broken games fixed and you bring this dreg in here. Take it to one of the builder forums douche.Shiroukai wrote...

My main is human but I'm just gonna agree, the big defining feature of elves is their ears (and usually the height, but they're more like perhaps pixies in this game instead of freakish) and they aren't prominent enough.

Hey thanks for the presumption and insult.
Quite clearly you have misunderstood the point of this forum.
The is the game players technical help forum where we attempt to help each other overcome the serious and actual bugs that are in this game. It is not the "point out the things which you dont like or agree with forum" You may fare better in the main discussion forum for general complaints about things you disagree with.
Also I appreciate (in fact I very much hope) that English may not be your first language but
is not a sentence, by any stretch of the imagination."Someone who possess a sence of artistic and completion which in turn
cares **** about retards who dont know how to post constructive"
If you are implying that I have no artistic ability I'd suggest you look a little further and you might find I've illustrated covers for two published novels this year. Inked six comic editions, rendered four of them and am a reasonably in demand digital artist.
As for me being a retard I'll have to disagree. As for me being non-constructive then in this matter, I'll agree with you because to complain that 'elf ears don't look like that' is ludicrous when elves, pixies and fairies don't exist. There is poetic and artistic license when creating these things and it is very much subjective.
Thank you for your time.

Still the point remains that Elf ears on NPC are different than the PC ones, as an above screenshot shows. If anything, I would argue that this is an inconsistency that should be fixed.
Fixed why? What did it break other than the sensibilities of people who's only knowledge of fantasy characters is built on the Lord of the Rings movies?
It's a point of personal perception to be discussed in general or in modders forums.
It's not a technical fault and it does not require a fix ( certainly not one that the playing community can come up with )

elf is an elf is an elf. The issue isn't big, granted. But it's a visual discrepancy that isn't consistent with the rest of the world they made.
Its like saying that she-hulk shouldn't be green because she's not "the hulk"

Are you playing devils advocate or something here? Tell me a reason why elf npcs have one version of ears, when the PC only has it's version of ears? It's not a dalish/city elf thing, it's quite apparent in hte differences.

I'm simply pointing out that it's not a technical fault. Also you may want to consider that the character model for the user is user configurable and that of the NPC models is pre-determined.
Now I've not started an elf character so have no idea what the parameters are when starting your character's appearance but it stands to reason that the character you create is not going to look exactly like the NPC models, created by someone else and in a much greater detailed 3D engine.
I'll re-iterate. It does not matter, and if it does to a few of you then get together and make a module to change it to your personal tastes.
