Let's just call it "soldier effect" and delete player biotics

Seriously, there isn't a better "1 squad point" invested in the game than adrenaline rush. Completely ovrpowered.
Then you give soldiers the ability to use like 3-4 guns no one else can use, most of which far better than anyone else can get for those weapon types.
So soldiers get the best skill, the best weapons, the most defense in health/shielding.
You'd think the mass effect galaxy would completely abandon biotics and just get a simple "occular implant" than turns a mere mortal into a superman.
Complete failure for class balance, greater failure in mass effect lore.
Do you think the FPS kiddies really need such a heavily stacked deck?

Handheld thinks it sad when a forumite can not understand the difference between a TPS and an FPS. Handheld is starting to lose faith in his fellow forumites.

Quoted for great emphasis. It's hard to take people on this forum seriously when they don't even know what they're talking about. Makes them just as dumb as the people they're talking down to.

Going to quote the wow forums. Biotics are fine, l2p. The "best" class without a doubt that can handle everything is the infiltrator.
I agree. People thought that they would be able to spam powers in this one. My vangaurd kicked major arse. Shockwave was great for clearing out minion type characters and rush (while not doing much damage) was a life saver against Geth Primes and other Vangaurds. People need to stop ****ing and learn how to utilize their powers.

The only thing is, bioware is trying to bring in the FPS players, not TPS, many of which would have already got ME2 regardless. That is all beside the umpteen other points i made in the god damn OP. Way to try to derail a thread, trolls.

Agreed.
FPS: First person shooter
TPS: Third person shooter.

There is no real difference between them, and not enough to try to derail a thread with puerile trolling attempts.
i didn't even know about the weapon thing until I played a soldier. And that's just too far for me. Giving the soldier a ton of soldier exclusive content was the final straw for me. I was the one arguing it wasn't all that lopsided before discovering that.

Go play Uncharted or GOW and try and tell me they play the same as CoD or Halo. They don't. One major difference is cover. In a TPS you actually go into cover, whereas in an FPS "cover" is just being behind something.

Cover really is essentially the only difference. Especially when you zoom in/aim almost completely past your character, and sniping is exactly the same as a FPS.
This game is trying to become a FPS. Plus cover is gay, who actually used cover in the first one?

Or bioshock, or dead space, etc. Let's face it, they don't know what the hell they are talking about. They are just biting on handheld's troll bait. handheld's post made zero sense. ME2 isn't trying to get the TPS crowd, NEWS FLASH, THEY ALREADY HAVE THE TPS CROWD.

Nothing new to see here. The default Infiltrator without any bonus abilities was the single most potent class in ME, nothing has changed. Oh except that biotics are completely horrible this time around.

Yay, let's argue stupid semantics that changes absolutely zero about the gameplay. And it's plain as day to see that in ME3 biotics will be even worse than they are now. Why? Because ME3 will have online death matche$.
Bioware used to be the last bastion of decent western RPG games, but apparently that's too much of a niche market and the ADD Halo kiddies are who they are targeting now. And don't even bring up Dragon Age. That game had exactly three playable specs total among all the classes and specs. Completely imbalanced and garbage skill trees for a game that took five years to finish.

OH, and I forgot to mention something else I discovered when playing my soldier that annoyed me. They get some kind of damage bonus when on adrenaline rush, I'm not sure if it's total damage or just head shot damage. But non-andrenaline headshot on a vorcha with the 10 shot sniper would drop the vorcha down to about 25% life, while a adrenaline headshot will instantly kill them. Further, it seems like adrenaline increases the "headshot hitbox" by a good 25% if not 50%.
My first playthrough was as an infiltrator. I got the sniper rifle upgrade and got assassin cloak and I could one-shot just about everything except for named enemies with a headshot with cloak up. I really didn't need an assault rifle at all. Plus heavy incinerate just destroyed things without shields or armor. I'm currently playing through on a Vanguard now, and I love biotics. They added tactical use of tech and biotic powers to the game which I love. Adds more depth to the combat.
