Let's just call it "soldier effect" and delete player biotics

So biotics suck now because Singularity spam isn't the answer to every single encounter in the game?

I only play on insanity, Tlanilith . I'll assume that dispels your confusion about head shot damage.

If you want to argue something it should be that most Biotics don't work on armored targets. (Hence your singularity having no effect on a krogan.) Bullets work on everything. There's your problem. Shields I can understand, but armor shouldn't affect whether or not I can pick you up like a ragdoll and hurl you several hundred meters. The force necessary for such an action would already be so extreme that you could literally lift and hurl cars. Maybe if someone has armor he wouldn't go as far, since you have to move more weight, but it would not be enough for a considerable difference. This is why Soldier/Vanguard/Infiltrator are better than pure Adepts. All of those classes focus on weapons first, skills secondary. Adepts are not like that. To get a target to be affected by your biotics he has to have a red healthbar, by then 1-5 more shots(depending on weapon) would kill him anyway. What's the point? Adepts are good at clearing out rabble like Husks, sure they are passable at everything else, but delivering hyper velocity slugs into the heads of bad guys wins out in the end.

You obviously are new to the RPG crowd.  Might help to learn a few things before posting.

yeah bro apparently, honestly I think the vanguard is pretty badass. Gimped as shnee from the last op mass effect vanguard but still fun.

Having to duck in cover every now and then keeps my skills sharp lol

I use charge and shockwave all the time mad. It does suck that it's all on a global timer though, that's booshnee

But in a game like mass effect guns are a must not an encumberment, I love the heavy pistol

ITT: People who spammed Biotics in ME 1 are angered they can't spam Biotics in ME 2 and actually have to use squad tactics.

well I mean logically I would much rather **** with a solder than a biotic user so they don't rip my ass apart with their mind....

Immersively I would see the booshnee in not being able to spam biotics lol

Clearly your generalization fits everyone.  ITT: players who just spam guns are happy that they don't have to spam biotics or tech abilities in ME 2 and don't actually have do anything you wouldn't do outside of a super dumbed down FPS/TPS game.

See what I did there?

As in spamming biotics with their squad members?

I have no idea where these retarded claims of "biotic spamming" came from. In ME the spammers where all soldiers/vanguards/infiltrators/engineers and only the vanguard spammed biotics.

Cant you have a biotic squad member use their ability to get rid of the armour and then you lift them?

People that keep replying like this are missing the point entirely.  You shouldn't have to strip away shields and armor just to disable someone, and after you see the "red health bar" you don't even NEED to use anything other than 3-4 shots of a gun anyway.  It's almost like all shields and barriers produce some new super personal mass effect field that repels all inertial biotics and the "armor" would just be metal plating that weighs more newtons than you can manipulate.

Did everyone just simply forget in the videos they hyped up the Adept as the class that could combat enemies without having to fire a single shot from a gun?

http://masseffect.bi.../media/videos/3

Notice how in the video all they do is show enemies that have no armor, no barriers and no shields?  Yeah...way to completely misadvertise the class.

Shields should stop biotics. Since it is a mass effect field, which is the in game explanation. Armor on the other hand should not.

Technically on Normal/Vet the Adept can clear rooms without firing a shot. Just not on anything else.

I say player biotics, because they decided to make NPC biotics better than players
Seriously, there isn't a better "1 squad point" invested in the game than adrenaline rush. Completely ovrpowered.
Then you give soldiers the ability to use like 3-4 guns no one else can use, most of which far better than anyone else can get for those weapon types.

So soldiers get the best skill, the best weapons, the most defense in health/shielding.

You'd think the mass effect galaxy would completely abandon biotics and just get a simple "occular implant" than turns a mere mortal into a superman.

Complete failure for class balance, greater failure in mass effect lore.

Do you think the FPS kiddies really need such a heavily stacked deck?

I'm playing on normal and this is false until you're level 15+.  And having to use Warp 1-2x just to remove protection before you can actually DO anything to them is tedious and not fun in any way.

Glad I jumped on the forums and didn't bother rolling with my Adept in this version.

I'll definitely miss it, but I'm not going to force myself to play a game and not enjoy it just to play my Adept, I'll just run around with an AR instead. Won't be nearly as fun, but oh well.

Not a bad idea OP. No adept class certainly would make for one less complaint around here.
