Blew them up... Why? That's what I do.

Armatures are a pain in the ass, this was a quick way to stomp lots and lots of them without having to waste clips. Or even worse heavy weapon ammo (/gasp).

I see no downside.

Can't remember the actual example, but basically the true Geth see 2 + 2 = 4. The Heretics see 2 + 2 = 3. Simplified, but basically the same.

This difference in calculations is what makes them different. Well sorry, but 2 + 2 = 4 and that is just the way it is. Reapers are bad and that is just the way it is.

The simplification here skews the Legion's point a bit, though. What Legion says is, the Heretics calculate results in their own way but the outcome isn't clearly "wrong" like in this example, just different. It's more like trying to solve x^2 = 4 and regular Geth calculating x = 2 while the Heretics calculate x = -2.

You are correct and I humbley stand corrected. :)

In essence there is/was a lot of debate on whether destroying them or "re-programming" them was the correct paragon choice. I stand by the paragon choice within the game. Regardless of the logic, the Heretics were following a path that would lead to their destruction regardless of a Reaper win/lose scenario. Seeing as that society at large painstakingly does it's very best to help those who are on a destructive path, or at least tries to in essence, re-programming them to "see the light" was the proper paragon choice.

That doesn't mean it will be the best choice for Shepard as it can potentially back fire, but it was the paragon choice rather than just out-right killing them.

I rewrote the heratic geth and was able to put peace between Tali and Legion :)

Now, if Shepard can finally bring peace to this 800 year old war between quarians and the geth plus stop the Reapers from wiping out all galatic life

That will make him/her the sole most badass person ever!

I think we should be given the option to totally wipe out the Geth in ME3.  I destroyed the Geth base in ME2, and I would destroy all the Geth if I could.  The Geth are machines--that means they are not alive.  There is no such thing as "brainwashing" Geth since they are not living, rational creatures to begin with.  They are simply advanced AI programs that can be destroyed without any concern for moral decision making.  They have no souls.  I am totally onboard with Tali on this one.  The only casualty on my first playthrough was Legion, and I thought the whole coffin scene was totally ridiculous.  Legion was never truly alive anyways.  Shepard should have just given his body to Tali to be studied and salvaged for parts.
