Just wondering what people are excited about seeing come ME3? What options are you happy with keeping from your play throughs?

In my first play through Garrus was the only one who didn't survive the final mission. He's one of my all time favorites, and I was quite distraught over seeing him take yet another shot to the face. Only this time, he didn't get up... :crying: Not gonna lie, I went into that final mission with just as much determination to "fight for the lost" as I could. No one kills Garrus and gets away with it... No one!!

As for Liara, I (for some reason) didn't catch on to who the Observer really was (sorry nameless Krogan I got killed!). Despite the fact that I read those dang messages like, 3 times over. Regardless though, it'll be interesting to see if she is taken by surprise and killed by the Observer come ME3. She's my Pargon FemSheps LI, but you can bet that some old school renegade style pwnage will be handed out on the Shadow Broker if he crosses that line.

Also, with so many new characters introduced... there is alot brewing!
Tali/Legion and the Geth vs Quarian war? I managed to get them to work their personal dispute out, maybe an alliance down the line is possible?

Could Jack finally have the change of heart that I helped push her towards?

Miranda quit Cerberus, but how will that effect the life of her sister?

Questions questions questions...

However it all goes, I'm happy knowing that all my choices, and mistakes, will carry over into the next game. Sure, I could replay it and change what I want (like I did for ME1), but don't know... there is just something about that first play through of ME2 that just sticks with me. It feels more "real" then the others, and I'm happy to know that everything I did right or wrong will have an impact later down the line.

Anyone else excited to see how THEIR story will play out? Are you thinking of keeping any of your "mistakes" into ME3 just because it makes the story better?

I'm hoping my paragon Actions will help create a peace between the Quarian and Geth, Case really I can't help but not hate ether now, In ME1 I was backing Quarian but now in ME2 seeing a Real geth make me wish that they realize that the hatred that there is only in there head. The geth don't want to kill there makers they want to know why there parents betrayed them.

I think if Bioware is going to make those different diverting paths you take matter, we are going to have a hell of a BIG game for ME3.

Please, don't disappoint!

Totally agree with you. Unfortunately I lost my very first playthrough on ME1. I managed to recreate it, because I remembered most of the important decisions. But I'm not going to let the same thing happen to ME2. There's nothing more real then a first playthrough :D

ME2 is the most epic game I've played in... well a long dang time. I can't remember ever being as enthralled as I was this past week. I'm taking a break from it for my own good, haha.

So yeah, I totally agree. I hope Bioware can deliver on all the awesome they are setting up for ME3. And kudos to them for making a game where I was truly moved by a characters death. It has never happened before. I may not have been in tears, but dang was I close. I think the rage kept them back, haha.

R.I.P. Garrus
You were the John McClane of space, and a true hero. Every Reaper I kill in ME3, I kill for you!

See, I tried to do the same. But some stuff just felt like you needed to do a second play through just to set things as they should have been. For example, despite being an almost full Paragon I went went through the core mission too fast and Wrex ended up being killed. Of course, this isn't an issue the second time around, as your persuasive skills are second too none.

And then there was some stuff I just decided I wanted to change. Leaving Kaiden to die was alot more epc of a cutscene (him, sitting by the bomb, shooting Geth as the Normandy flies away in the distance) then if I let Ashley die. So I switched who I saved. I tailored the story to fit what I wanted, and I didn't feel cheated.

But for ME2, whoa! It was so well made and delivered that now my first play through feels like the only one worth having! The delivery was just that strong. Here's to hoping they don't lose that come ME3...

I loved my 1st Mass Effect 2 playthrough but I wont use it when it comes to ME3. Some things just didnt fit the characteristics and actions that i envisioned for "My Shep" . Tho the deaths in the suicide mission that I had were the most realistic.

as for finding out who the observer is for liara, you have to hack 5 consoles, then you'll see the mention of a "she" in one of the messages. Which will open up the dialogue that you don't think its any of them. Turns out to be her assistant who was feeding her the bogus list of 5 suspects just to make her chase her own tail.

See, I noticed the use of the pronoun "she". But I didn't notice the use of "Krogan" anywhere. I probably just missed it.

I did think it was odd that "None of the suspects match" was suddenly an option instead of  "I don't know yet". But... I didn't go with my instincts. haha. So we'll see if I end up regreting it.

If you did a second play through, would you do your best to keep your choices as to who didn't make it in the final mission? I know if I did one, I'd still want those emotionally impacting moments to carry over.

For my character all my squad members survived thankfully. I admit I was freaking out when Garrus was shot when I closed the doors. Also when Samara let down the barrier. I created a relationship with Miranda, but did not know you could make her quit Cerberus. Did I miss that moment?

You have to take her with you when you go to kill the human reaper. If you choose to destroy the Collector base, the Illusive Man tries to order Miranda to stop you. But she gives the Illusive Man the shaft and sides with you. Best moment in ME2, in my opinion. Hope you see her playing a significant role in ME3

My first ME2 playthrough was all about the mission. Mostly paragon, but had some very renegade choices because it was for the good of mankind... right? I hope some of those things don't come back to bite me in the @$S.

*edit:  reminds me that I also was too busy to get Wrex's family armor...  I literally was like, "Whoah!  Just like that?!  Really?"  Never made that mistake again.

Drats I had Legion and Jacob in my squad for the end. Hope that doesn't change anything, but I can go back and put her in my squad at the end. Thanks for the info.

It might not matter.  It all depends on how much of the ME2 characters Bioware is going to put into the next game.  It could be just a little bonus and remain exclusive to ME2 or it could actually have an impact on ME3.  It all depends on how much Bioware carries over.  I wouldn't get your hopes up....I don't think you'll see much of ME2 characters in ME3.

Thankfully, I did my renegade Shepard playthrough first for a change (wasn't done redoing my ultimate paragon Shepard thanks to lost saves when I had to change gamertags when I went online). Although, things came out pretty well for her. Everyone on the team survived even if half the crew died. I saved the scottish engineer and Dr Chakwas so that's all good as far as I'm concerned. Kelly was so annoyingly bubbly for me renegade femShep anyway.

Something I noticed and really loved about ME2, the way the story and character interactions played out my hardline renegade Shepard softened up a little, became a little less of a military hardass. Looking at all the options I suspect my paragon Shepard is going to have a similar mild shift to become harder. Regarding the job at hand, my renegade is still hardline renegade but with her personal interactions she became a little less strict and friendlier just because of how everything developed. I'm looking forward to see how the game will change my paragon Shepard now.

Well apart from the storyline, I hope Liara doesn't turn out to be a psychopath ;)
