So I beat game few days ago and had garrus and jack die. Stupid decisions 

So I redid it today, with what I thought was perfect setup.

Thing is, legion still died...

I then read you need everyone loyal and if they are loyal they will have gold circles under them on character select screen.

I looked at it and legion did NOT have a gold circle. However I had his 4th ability and his alt costume. I did his side quest.

How is it I did not get him loyal but have his 4th ability? Did my game glitch?

I have no saves except restart collector mission now, and his loyal quest was last thing I did. Am I totally ool for getting everyone surviving on this play through?

Did you side with Tali during their little confrontation?

If you sided with Tali during their confrontation, then he will lose his loyalty but not his abilities or alternate costume.



If the save allows you to still talk to your squad members on the Normandy, talk to Legion and you should have a paragon and renegade option on the left, to regain his loyalty - but you will need maxed Paragon or Renegade points to do this. If you want to do get those points if you don't already and your crew (Chef, Chakwas, Kelly etc.) has already been taken, then they will die if you take the time to do some N7 missions to boost your points.

I sided with Tali yes, because if I didn't I could not get her loyal and she never got her 4th ability. ><, wasn't maxxed in paragon or renegade.



I did tali's sidequest before I got legion though. How is it I even got his 4th ability if he was NEVER loyal? I don't understand.

He's talking about the argument Tali and Legion have. Tali is all 'man he's spying on us' and Legion is like, 'Y'all crazy b!' - you have to side with one of them or, if your paragon/renegade bar is maxed, you can calm them both down.

you have to have a high paragon/renegade to resove the tali/legion conflict or you will lose the loyalty of one of them.

Yeah man, why else would you lose his loyalty? Legion thought you were bros.

I had very high paragon and was able to charm both legion and tali into standing down without loosing any loyalty. In a very logical way. It resulted in Tali standing down and handing Legion some non-classified data.



I did the same with Miranda vs Jack.

I'm like 98% paragon and I haven't done mordin's loyalty, i dont have samara, i dont have thane, i dont have legion, i havent done jack's loyalty, and I haven't finished with sidequests.

I think if you want everybody to live, you need everybody to be totally loyal, and therefore you need a full Paragon bar.



Also I think that you need to full research every upgrade.

Devs said it can be done with as few as 3-4 loyal if you do everything just right.



You don't need characters to be loyal or even in your party to live. Miranda was not loyal in my game, and she lived. You just cannot use disloyal members for the specialist positions and expect them to live or not get someone else killed, you have to have well picked loyal members for each of those specialist positions.

Actually, she says she caught him scanning her omnitool, and he admits to collecting info on "The Creators" and sending it back to the other geth.  Personally, I wish I had the option of letting her shoot him.

Weird, I sided with Tali and Legion remained loyal to me. After siding with her I did follow up with a blue Paragon option during our conversation. But I did side with her. Then he said something about understanding the fear organics have about them, etc, etc.. And that I was only being human.
