My system:
Win XP
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.40GHz
2 GB RAM
GeForce 8600 GTS
The DVD is connected via a broad type of cable (not SATA, but the older one).
Problem:
When I instert Disc One into the DVD, the drive makes a lot of noise, but nothing happens. The launcher doesn't show. Trying to explore the DVD via My Computer doesn't work, it causes a freeze and I have to close it with Ctr-Alt-Del (Task Manager says "DVD ROM (not responding)" or "My Computer (not responding"). Trying to explore the disc with Windows Commander or Nero causes those programs to freeze.
Other DVDs work fine on the drive, including ME2 Disc Two (which is read by the drive and prompts "Insert Disc One"). ME2 DIsc One is the only disc that behaves in this way.
I went to the store, gave the disc back and they exchanged it for another one, but I still get the same problem.
I'd be very grateful for help.
