2.      CPU:    AMD Phenom™ 9650
quad-core processor 2,3 gigahertz

3.      RAM:   4 GB

4.      VIDEO:    Nvidia Geforce
GTS 250

5.
AUDIO:

1.      Which Game Are You Playing : Mass Effect 1 for
the PC via Steam

a.      Mass effect 1

b.     Digital download; steam, plus the two downloadable
contents Pinnacle station and bring down the skies. Pinnacle station from
eastore, and bring down the skies from the normal bioware site.

The following information i have no idea where to get them.
It says i should go to configure at the launch button of the game, but since im
not using English as a standard language, i cant find it. Can anyone help with
that? (Im using Dutch)

c.      Configuration Utility | Game Tab

Version Information:
MassEffect2.EXE
2.      System Details

a.      Configuration Utility | Summary
Tab

Processor / Clock Speed /
RAM
Display Adapter / VRAM /
Driver Version (just saying "latest drivers" doesn't
help)
Sound Adapter / Driver
Version
b.     Configuration Utility | Platform Tab

Operating System (&
service pack if applicable)
Direct X Version
3.      Problem Details

a.

         What?  Computer shuts down

When?  When playing mass effect 1, or when at the
menu screen where you have to                   push a button to continue

         Where? See
answer above

         Why?    No idea?

b.     When i start up mass effect and get at the planet scene
where you have to press a button, or just while playing mass effect iself, my computer
shuts down. Completely. No warning, and i cant start my PC up for the next minute
orso.

c.   In the five times i played or started up mass effect, it happened
four times. Details of when are described above.

 When? When does the
problem occur? Every time you engage in a particular action or only

after so many hours of play?

d.     Where? Where does the problem occur? Is the problem
localized to a particular planet or does it occur everywhere?

As already said; at the planet menu screen or while in game,
then its just random.

e.     Why? As much as possible, can you isolate the
problem to a specific set of steps?

        No, i cant. I
did get a new computer, so maybe it might have something to do with that.. but
for the rest i really dont know.

A computer shutdown is indicative of a CPU that has hit it's thermal limit. Usual, however, this happens after playing for some time and not necessarily right off the bat unless you've recently removed your CPU and, 1/ did not replace it properly or 2/ did not apply thermal grease properly.

It could also be a PSU issue. If you're PSU isn't stable enough, this could also cause a shutdown.

Tell us what PSU you have and find out what you're temps are asap - if your CPU is improperly connected, you will definitely be doing long term damage to it.
