For sure..... You don't see daily threads on the DAO boards, complaining about the presense of the M/M option.Wittand25 wrote...
They are not, but threads like this show that by not including them they alienate a bigger share of their audience then they thought and to show them that putting in such options would meet more support then opposition.

Well they must of been doing a good job on hiding the gay love in DAO I had no idea it was in the game. Now is it Male vs Male love in Dragon AGe or Female Vs Female?
For some strange reason, the female gay love seems more accepted in todays world then Male And Male.
For that, because most gamers are male, yet I claim most of them are straight, also a fair number of them are perveted enough to see female-female love.

Its all about marketing. If they did include gay type themes in the games then you can count on religious groups trying to ban the game... And it would be banned in some countries easy. So the fact is that having gay male love in a game is not worth the few % of the population on the planet that would enjoy something like that, just to loose a much larger % of population that does not want to see that.
Simple marketing and economics its nothing personal. Its just the way it is.
Quoted for untruth.
The sexual, violent, and other extraneous adult content in the game is bad enough as it is to warrant an upraor from religious activists. Having a male/male romance wouldn't change anything. It would simply add to the already glowing embers. And, that's an already flawed logic in that female/female relationships evoke just as much banter from religious extremists as male/male relationships do - there's no reason that including them would do anything the game isn't already doing.
And, for the argument that it would just hurt sales in general, I pose this - what avid Bioware fan/Mass Effect fanatic, a majority of the people who buy the game, would outright refuse to purchase it if there were a gay romance included? I'm guessing somewhere around 0%. That's just an estimate, though.

As for the whole should we have male/male, female/female romances. As long as it makes sense and is treated like any other romance, sure whatever why not. Not like it affects me.

Are any of the female LIs in ME2 religious? I can't think of anything like that. In Mass Effect universe religion seems to have much less significance than in real life, though it thankfully isn't entirely absent - that would have harmed the immersion, if only slightly. In DAO you can always have Morrigan who doesn't hesitate to get vocal when Leliana attempts to convert her.
This is not a big deal to me personally, as I said, but I want to voice my support, especially now that the number of spammers has gone at least temporarily down. If you consider the matter insignificant, then why pay attention to it? It's all the same to you whether something comes out of it or not, after all.

Done. In ME1, Ashley asks you if you believe in god. You can reply "no."
edit: oh, you mean an atheist to have a relationship with. Sorry for misunderstanding.

People should be more concerned about how the story is going to end with what we've already developed thus far. At this point of the series, I'm not going to say that any of us have a choice about gay relationships. So much is already said and done, adding additional development might even interfere with the ended. Are they really going to add more characters and crew? I've seen enough already. I can see the series ending with ME1 + ME2 characters banding together, and these characters are already said and done. I just think it may be too late.
*shrug* I think the argument most prominent is why weren't the simply included in the first place with ME2? They included a huge amount of new characters, and had multiple opportunities. They should have just done it. However, who's to say there wont be just as many new characters in the third installment? Maybe it'll end up like Chrono-Cross where you have a bajillion people to choose from

It's not just gay guys that would be interested in a m/m option. I'm female and straight, and pretty much all of my Dragon Age characters, female or male, have single-target sexuality for Zevran.Lightice_av wrote...

LOL@ some of these comments. Think of it this way. Your shepard has gone through 10+ hours of playtime, and is ready for love. But guess what? The only people your male shep can romance are Jacob, Garrus, or Thane. Wouldn't you be pissed? And you would HAVE to make a female shepard to romance Miranda. And to top it all off, when you complain on the official forums that you want your male shepard to have sex with Miranda some idiot says ," Well then I want my shep to sleep with a goat, or a chicken, or an orange blob if you're going to put that crap in the game!!!"
See how awful that sounds??

I kind of took that for given. As there are guys playing Femshep, like myself on occasion, there are woman playing MShep, and also expecting to have an option that appeals to them. The more the merrier.

What we should do is ask bioware to make some lore explanation of alien gay races, for example krogan. Their love is forbidden and even their clan leaders having sex behind everyones eyes.
Shepard should also slap his crew members on the lowerback to make them work faster or something, navy is still navy even if it is in space!
Another part of that forbidden field is dead boyfriend, i mean when Shepard's crewmember dies he can still take him back to Normandy to his room and mourn for a while.
Game developers really should look further for new things happening in the real life, should keep their views up to date.

no, seriously.
As a straight male, the only LI I pursued in ME1 was FemShepard/Liara to see what had caused such a big brouhaha in the weeks leading up to release. Turns out, not much.
I've got 3 MShep clear saves with 0 LI, because I'm supposed to be saving the universe dammit. If I want to get in someone's pants, I'll boot up a dating sim thanks.
tl,dr: regardless of gender and orientation, if you're playing this game for the purpose of a specific sexual relationship then you're playing it wrong.
