thats why i brought it up in the first place

cause you were the one harping about forum punctuation

if the most famous english writer can make up his own words and distort the language, why cant everyone else?

omg no way i used a question mark

Be happy in your ignorance.

I know I find it amusing. :wizard:

And YOU are the one who brought you your "A"s BTW that's not a great accomplishment. Do the same thing in college and THEN you have something to brag about.

I am taking college courses =.=

thats what the international baccaleurate program is all about

getting university credits with an accelerated course

you are the ignorant one who thinks only shakespeare can distort the english language

LOL! How cute.

why thank you ^_^

I guess we should rewrite every piece of literature to appeal to homosexuals. All movies need to be changed so there is a homosexual version as well.

All you are doing is seperating yourself from everyone else.

Shephard is single. So who the hell cares? All the romances suck anyways.

Move on folks. Just another pervert who wants to bang whatever move... or doesn't move...

*kick's back with a jack and coke* well, this was a nice topic while it existed, but I'm pretty sure the mods will close it soon enough.

I agree that Shep needs some male lovin'. But I really don't think any of the characters from ME2 or ME1 even come off as being gay. Reading the gay fanfiction is so strange... all of the characters are so OOC it's scary.

I'm just hoping if Bioware does decide to make a homosexual romance that they don't go a brokeback mountain approach and make it overly stereotypical. That would just be depressing.

In your first paragraph you say that none of the characters "comes off" as being gay, but yet you don't want anyone stereotypical????  m....kay.....

Characters don't have to "come off" as being gay.   I thought my MenShep was getting a vibe from Kaidan in ME1.  I was shocked and dissapointed nothing materialized...  I expected better from BioWare.

Well they must of been doing a good job on hiding the gay love in DAO I had no idea it was in the game. Now is it Male vs Male love in Dragon AGe or Female Vs Female?

For some strange reason, the female gay love seems more accepted in todays world then Male And Male.

Not strange at all. Most video game players are men, and many men like lesibian relationships, because, well, two hot chicks, right? While they dislike gay ones because their insecurity causes them to feel threatened.

Naturally, the irony of the idea of being horrified if some dude hits on you is lost on men who probably hit on women all the time.

People should be more concerned about how the story is going to end with what we've already developed thus far.

You imply that those in favor of more options aren't more concerned about the main story. I am, I'd just like some more latitude in the smaller parts of the story.

Of course, BW has said ME1 LI's play a big role in ME3, so ME2 (or, potentially, ME3) LI's could very well end up doing the same, so in we could, right now be concerned about how the story ends up, since (apparently) LI's play a role.

Would people be that interested in talking to other characters if they knew there is no chance of romance? I think romances make RPGs better, but the romance options should be inclusive like in DAO.

I would. I like knowing my squad. Plus, BW put all that time and money into making them! I should put that to good use.

Hell, I even talked with Zaeed all the time and the man doesn't even have a actual dialogue system like everyone else. He's just a NPC standing there.

I do like how he sets all that stuff up and talks about his ****ty rifle and killing a Krogan and whatnot, though.

Just face the facts already. Bioware has established the characters. Putting in a gay relationship will require massive changes, that I'm sure Bioware would not be willing to work-in.

Exactly what i was saying

they can change the lore for their heatsinks for weapons but they cant simply go.... oh yeah shepard is gay now sorry guise, even after all the chicks he banged (most of all our playthoughs)

1. You don't need to bang everyone. Some people have done this. Not even to have a gay shepard, but to have a professional Shepard, more concerning with saving the galaxy or squicked by the thought of ****ing an enlistee under his command such as Ashley.

2. Nothing says a Shepard who banged girls before can't suddenly discover he's attracted to men as well. Bisexuality does exist.

As far as I know, it would be irrelevent whether BioWare wanted male on male romances included or not, as the game ratings boards don't allow it.

They have really strict rules on what sexual interaction can be portrayed or implied, (for example only human or humaniod characters may be shown in a sexual manner)

Unless the rules have changed, female on female interactions between human or humanoid characters is ok, but any male on male interactions are prohibited.

I... what?

What drugs are you on man? I want them.

There's no game rating board that can ban your game (at least, not in America and the EU) for having man-on-man romance. Hell, in America you can't even ban a game at all! The worst that can happen is that the ESRB (which is a private corp., not a government thing) can rate it "A", for Adults Only.

Which they can't really do unless you show graphic portrayals of sex or truly graphic and horrific violence.

Male relationships are still at a growing point, growing to be accepted that is. It would be unwise of Bioware to be the first to unleash such content. They would probably get SOOOOO much flack. I could even imagine certain places refusing to sell it. Don't blame Bioware. Blame society for not widely accepting gay men, yet.

The fact is though. They already have. T_T

Im pretty sure fable was sold in all stores that sells games and that game allowed you to fall in love with another guy.. and I dont think it got any flack for that..

That niche is quite a bit smaller than the gay one, as are just about all the "alternative" options that people associate homosexuality with in these threads. In fact I suspect that if the gay fan community had been vocal during the development, they might well have outnumbered the xenophilic Tali and Garrus lovers - though probably also overlapped to a great extent.

Pity that this thread too has now attracted more trolls and spammers than serious discussion. One has to wonder if the Mass Effect fan community is less mature than the Dragon Age's, seeing that they contain almost no whining about Zevran being a gay option.

Could it be the shooooter fanz?

I bet if there was a same-sex option in ME, everyone who's not into it would simply not chose it and move on.That's what happened with DA.  It's really strange that somebody would want to limit options for other players.
