I purchased ME2, but sadly they've made a poor job with the audio localization. Is possible to set english audio and a different language for subtiltes? these poor voices ruins all the drama Posted Image

Yes, you can. Depending on patricular country and edition, too.

"Normally" you do it this way:
Open the scu.ini file in the data folder, in your install directory.
Rename both values (for VOLanguage and TextLanguage) from FR to INT.
It should work, at least it did for me with a similar issue.

And you can set a different language for VO and different one for subtitles, too.

What happens if you set the VOLanguage to INT and the TextLanguage to FR (FRE? The one you had before…). In theory you should give you what you need, meaning English voices with French subtitles.

There is another way to do it, which involves renaming some files in the BIOGame/CookedPC folder – namely: swapping the tlk file in your national language with BIOGame_INT.tlk (renaming it from FR to INT), when both values in sku.ini are set to INT. But it demands some backing up too, of course, before you change anything there. Let me know if you needed more info.

If I set VO to INT and Text to ITA (that's my case), I have no change in the game. Italian audio and italian sub.

I figured out the second way you gave me, and that's working.

Thanks again.
