I think it's really cool Bioware used real models for the women in Dragon Age.  Here are some pics of the real life models from Maxim...

<-- I made this character with a real model in mind too (minus the facial tattoo) ;)

So what did they actually use? All similarities I see is that one is a brunette and the other a redhead... Well maybe they did actually use the bodies before they decided that everything from daggers to boobs needs to be blown up and that emancipated women should walk like John Wayne.

Morrigan has the exact same facial structure, cheeks, nose and eyebrows as the model. If she had yellow eyes and the makeup and haircut from the game they'd be nearly identical.

keep in mind, they werent trying to make replicas of the models

they were simply using them as, well, models to get inspiration/help make the characters features

so yes they are similar, but no they dont look exactly alike.

Her cheeks and jaw are completey different, eyebrows too.

Morrigan has a much more gaunt, defined jawline than the model. She really doesn't look at all like Morrigan.

She's more attractive than Morrigan mind.

what's funny is how dog ugly morrigan and leilana look during the cg rendered sequence. Though in game I think they look fine.

I've had enough really hot girlfriends that have done so much ignorant stuff that physical beauty has kinda lost the "wow" factor it used to have when I was a teenager. That being said, I don't think they could possibly be trying any harder to look edgy in those photos.

Ya know the CG versiosn look much closer to the RL models than the ingames ones do as far as their faces go.

It's almost like they were in a photoshoot for a men's magazine or something.

You just unlocked your forum achievement for being belligerent towards a total stranger. Do you feel better?

I thought that spread was pretty silly. Beautiful women, sure, but no resemblence to the characters what so ever. It was just an excuse for a photo shoot with the Dragon Age label attached to it. That's all guys need, it seems. ;)
