I am a proud owner of BG, collectors edition BG2, NWN, SoU, HoU KOTOR, JE, and NWN2.
I loved the fact that this showed on my profile and my avatar.  (not much the same for NWN2 though)

Point is, with the coming of the new website these games are not showing anymore. :(
Did bioware renounce these games? or is it because they were under a different publisher?

I still have the same account as the old one.

In any case, it is not very nice for us old Bioware fans. I play Bioware games since the days of Baldur's Gate, and that was a serious blow to an ole fans heart! (not quite but pretty much!) not only i would like NWN to show along with the next generation of Bioware games, but also if possible the old ones as well,  BG 1&2 for instance.

Also the option to save your serials is not there anymore. It was nice that we had our serial numbers stored online just in case.

I would imagine in time that everything will be ported over to this site....at the moment, there is no rush to send the other forums over here (old games)....but I imagine it will happen at some point in the future.

And yeah...would be nice I agree :)

I had that beside my name on the old forums too. Even had two versions of Jade Empire and KotOR under my account; making it ridiculously long. I have a feeling we will not see these return, though. Those are older games, and while I doubt BioWare has forgotten its past achievements (not counting NWN2, which was Obsidian's), it is doubtful we will see new icons for any of them.

The Baldur's Gate series never had an ownership tag in the old forums and BioWare never made changes to allow for them. This may even be intended. Here everyone has a fresh start. Join dates are closer together and no long list of owned games looms under any post.

Well i was not expecting the forums, we have to be a bit realistic, i agree, but at least our games, since we still hold the same account names would be nice.

As for the second part of what Seagloom says, why would we want a "clean start" ? What are we? Criminals or a failures?

It would be great to show off our glorious gaming past. :)

I am sure most fans would appreciate it. And believe it or not, these old fans are STILL the major part of Bioware's community.

What I meant was the tags underneath our posts signifying which games we registered. Not the forums themselves. Apologies if that was not clear.

I could not care less about clean starts. I have been around bioboards in one form another since the days of Throne of Bhaal. I'm just saying that BioWare is probably trying to attract more people to their forums as part of their current approach to tying their games and community together. Starting everyone on an equal playing field helps facilitate that. I also believe it is partly why they disabled posting counts early on. It makes the place seem less intimidating to lurking newcomers.

Yes, but what about the storage of game serial numbers?

You shouldn't rely on this website to store your serial numbers for you. (For the new games registered here they appear to be hidden.)

But for older games you can still go to http://forums.biowar...count/edit.html and see your old serial numbers there.

I don't totally rely on it, but it is much handier than hunting down the old manuals.

Why some people like to state the obvious :) are they assuming they are talking to idiots?

My dear friend of course i do thank you for your effort to assist and appease me. But; I am aware that my old serials and games and posts and account is still there. In fact i still visit the old forums. I am also aware that Bioware is trying to attract new friends, it is great!!! Everyone should enjoy the great games Bioware makes!
I am also one of those people who help doing that along with thousands of other loyal fans.
What i am saying is that in the effort to attract new friends, it should show how it respects and treats old ones and how consistent in quality service it is!
Did i make my self clear in this post? I hope so.
