Hey, I wasn't sure where to post this but i recently had to reinstall my operating system and didnt have a chance to backup any data including my mass effect 1 saves. I had the game on EA download manager so i was wondering if i sign into my name and download mass effect again will my saves be there so i can import them into ME 2? If not is there anyway to retrieve them? Thanks in advance :]

No. Your saves are on your machine. If you've reformatted and reinstalled your OS and didn't back up your saves, they're gone.

They are NOT gone....

Use a disk recovery software program...lots fo good free ones out there :)

Providing you have not done too much since reformatting, you 'should' be able to get them back with some effort :)

two good apps you can try mate :)

http://www.nucleuste...a-Recovery.html

and

http://www.active-undelete.com/

I can't offer any guarantee's they will work for you, but after a format your data is NEVER gone....its just....well hard to describe, once you format a drive or it fails, its never truly gone if you follow (unless you format with some very good software)...its how the police/etc can catch you out if you have bad stuff on a drive....people mistakingly think a format covers their ass...very dumb lol.

Hope you get em back though...let us know yeah?

Good call Maviarab. I'd forgotten about that software. Hopefully that will work for you J_Weezy36, although I've read it's dicey at best. But worth a shot.

Aye Eury....no way to know for sure if it will work...but its his best shot heh...

And nothing lost except maybe an hours worth of his time....if it finds them then great....if not he not really lost anything by trying...

worth a shot imo :)

Edit:

I've had success and failure with the first link i gave, never used the second one but was recommended to me by another tech guru friend of mine hehe :)
