No, most because EDI had anti-reaper hacking algorithms installed but still I guess it was a juvenile mistake all things considered.

The one thing that shocked me in ME2 was that EDI never went rogue and started singing Daisy.

It's funny that you mention that, If I remember correctly Joker references that to at one point.

I was thinking the same thing, and thought for sure Tali was going to shoot it before I had a chance to talk to it.

I was suprised also but really it would be pretty preditable if that were the case, we can only hope in ME3 since it's only been a short time she had full reign over the ship.. maybe she'll go mad with power.

Having the entire team hop in a shuttle off the ship to go on a mission would have made more sense... if there had actually been a mission. At that point I'd completed every sidequest in the game, so there was literally no reason for anyone to be leaving the ship.

I think it was just an example of some really crap writing. They had to get the crew abducted for some urgency and emotional connection to the last mission, but the ship was packed full of heavily armed commandos. So for some bizarre reason all they can come up with is that for the first time in the entire game the whole team leaves the Normandy packed in the shuttle, flies in a big circle and returns when the crew's gone.<_<

That is not the impression I got. In these party games I always think of my current party as just one squad that I lead. The others are also participating in the mission, in their own way. Either that, or your party choice is just symbolic. To cite a recent example of something like this, Zaeed talked about the thresher maw fight like he was there. Ok, maybe not the best example, since you were supposed to go on a Rite with a couple of friends, but in bigger missions I don't see why a commander wouldn't deploy most or all of his team.

What about the multiple mission cutscenes where you can plainly see there are only the three of you in the shuttle? I always thought the squad members left behind had duties on the Normandy, researching for Mordin, doing paperwork and being second in command for Miranda, running the Armoury for Jacob, security for Zaeed, engines for Tali, and gunnery maintenance for Garrus. With Samara, Grunt, Thane and Jack passing time and training.

Honestly, they really should have just had an actual mission for Shepard to go on where the Collector attack happens. That whole thing was just way too conspicuous... but ah well.

I don't think anything Legion did with Shepard was foolish, though.

Indeed, there should have been at least something that your squad needed to go do at that time. I made no sense that all my guys just left the ship without a mission.

Well, the fact that Legion saved my life and tried to help was a big influence on me thinking of him as being trustworthy. I think the AI core was the best way for EDI to keep an eye on him (so to speak) because at the time you take Legion onboard, EDI's reach is still limited. However, I can also see the danger of possible hacking by Legion, so that is a valid point as to why it might be a bad idea to leave him near the AI core.

Maybe there was supposed to be a mission, but it was left out due to time constraints? If so, it's even possible that they will put it in through some downloaded content... (ah, the dreams we come up with, where game designers fix any and all of our perceived "problems" with a game...)

Though Blizzard DID fix everything they possibly could have with Starcraft. Only thing they didn't do was make a sequel. Oh wait... <wink>

It was poor planning on the devs part. It is fine when you have side missions to go on, but if everything is finished you leave for no reason. They should have made some plot mission in which everyone on your team is required to attend or something similar - then have the attack.

ME2 is an amazing game - but yeah, the part where he takes the whole crew off the ship was its weakest point imo. As soon as I saw them all enter the shuttle - before anything bad went down I was just thinking "what? noooo... come on guys, dont take everyone off the ship... You guys are just kidding around right?"

I swear I saw Mordin look at the camera as they were all getting in the shuttle with a 'this is a really bad idea' look on his face.

So let me get this straight:
I find a Geth.  Take it on board.  And of ALL the rooms to store it in, I put it in the computer core room?

And then I take the ship offline to install alien technology.  So I go on a mission with EVERYONE packed into a tiny shuttle for no reason (and there's not even a mission), leaving the ship parked in the middle of no where?  Why didn't I do this in, say, Citadel space?

Totally agreed.  Though I think if the team hadn't been cramped in the tiny shuttle they would've died.  At least that's how it is when I go on missions.  Goodness forbid I leave my teammates on their own while I look for ammo or they jump up on something and get gunned down.  <_<

Maybe you just looked into his optic units and got a sense of his source code. ;)

Two words: Vegas roadtrip.  We won't find out what happened until the pictures surface in ME3.

"Sovereign,  know the death of Imperator, struck down by the Vorlons of the Seventheen Reaping?"

"Speak, Harbinger. My duties are legion."

"What did you do with the Omega-4 Mass Relay key he had upon his person? Do you still posess it or did pass it onto another of our Brethren so that they may pass through to the heart of our Galactic operations?"

*something like the silence of dark space is heard, only awkward* "........what?"

Well if you don't like the Geth next to the AI . . . you can always send it to Cerberus for . . . whatever they plan to do with it.

Face it. There were three Preatorians and 4 or 5 Scions. The crew never would of survived.

Edit: And I chose to do an N7 mission when I got attacked. So the entire crew took the shuttle planet side to do the mission while the Normandy was in orbit. It made sense on my end :D

You actually got to do a sidequest? I remember going up to the map and it saying "just take the shuttle, the engine is borked cause the IFF doesn't work yet." and then the ship was attacked. As far as I remember, I didn't even have the chance to do a mission.

You only have a chance to do a mission if theres a known mission to do on the galaxy screen.
Bioware created a failsafe mechanism incase you run out of missions. You don't want to be stuck with no way to finish the game, do you?

I also wondered about the IFF you get. It's supposedly from a 30-something MILLION year old reaver. Wouldn't their technology have changed a little since then? Like different codes for the IFF and such? Just sayin'...

If we know one thing about Reapers it's that they are really lazy about updating their passwords. Security in general seems to be a real weak point. I hope that the next game does not pit us against the tech-support Reaper because that guy is going to be so very, very p*ssed-off.

I was so angry when the collectors attacked my ship.
I went right after those chitinous bastards, get my crew back.

Not to forget EVERYONE on my squad hoping in a shuttle to go somewhere.
