Hay guys...

I'm stuck at where you need to kill Flemeth for Morrigan....How the HELL do you kill her? Is there a trick, or do you simply need to be higher level? Image IPB

I believe there a way to not have to kill anyone.

What level are you and what difficulty are you playing at?

She does a lot of AoE damage. Make sure to fighter her with 1 tank and 3 ranged attack, and make sure that your 3 ranged attackers are spread out so she can't hit them all at once.

I used Liliana with a bow, myself (DPS mage), Wynne, and Alistair.

She was a very tough fight.

Make sure all 4 characters are using a ranged attack and SPREAD OUT. Whoever the Dragon decides to attack, kite like crazy. Just keep that character moving and avoiding fire. When the dragon changes targets repeat the process. Fire Resistant Balms and items help out a lot. And be sure to bring enough health potions. I didn't find the fight that hard...but it took a long time. I played on normal.

Oops...sorry that was strat for the high Dragon. Almost same for Flemeth. Except flame resistance items are a NECESSITY!! Make sure you spread out your characters in a way that when she "sucks you in" you hit the wall/ciff on the bottom right so she can't maul you to death.  No need to worry about kiting.

I used Shale as a tank, Wynne healing, myself behind Flemeth doing damage adn Leliana right at the back.

Wynne and Leliana were FAR away from any damage the dragon could do unless it did a fireball but a quick potion or heal would heal anything.

I kept alister chucking potions as my main character lay dead at her feet after being chewed up and slammed to the ground dead.

Lilenna did not do much better.

Wynn killed the dragon as the dragon tried in vain to overcome my potion barrage on alister.

I used about 20 healing potions, Wynne as healer using revival.

Alister I let lose on Flemeth to do what he is best with.

Sten I let lose on Flemeth to chop chop as much as he can and I positioned my rogue in a way to stay at her back and do tonnes of backstab damage. So I took the melee type of fighting her on normal.

Keep a close watch, make sure every character is attacking her and doesn't stand around idly.

Have enough lyrium potions with you.

However I made sure they are equipped with best of the equipments available, such as starfang with grandmaster runes etc.

The high dragon is somewhat easier to deal with as paralyse and cone of cold works on that, but I couldn't get Flemeth hold down.

In Hard setting I just tanked and spanked. Allistar in Dragon DLC, Sten in Wade Dragon armor, me (rogue) in Wade drake armor and Wynne at max range. 3 health pots per character and 1 mana pot for Wynne. My backstab dps is nuts though.

All of you do not mention at what level you downed these badboys (ladies sorry). I attempted Flemeth at level 10 and got my behind handed to me so badly that I knew I had to be way too low level. I am now level 14 and finished the Urn quest. The High Dragon still kicked my behind although I only tried once.

What level is recommended for both?

My story of potion spamming is when I was level 10 or 11.

I was lvl 20. I had just collected all allies. I have best in slot gear which makes just about everything go well. No FF stuff. Allistar can't be knocked down. Myself and Sten have enough health where we can get kicked 3 times before a health pot. If the fight had a lot of fire damage I couldn't really tell since I was at 75% res.

I had more trouble with the High Dragon at lvl 12ish. Which ended up with Allistar potion crazy and Morrigan staffing it to death. My rogue and Sten were long dead =)

put it on easy lol. Even on easy I burned through like 10 lesser mana pots and about 5 lesser healing pots, maybe 1 or 2 regular healing pots. Easily the toughest battle of the game for me.

I was 14 at the time btw.

I think on normal lvl 15-16 is already safe enough. I didn't dare to go against them before that time. However I didn't need to reload and I am very far from any combat mastermind as I am too lazy to do that. Provided you have good enough equipment.

since i couldnt use morrigan for that quest, i came with next line up----> shale, alistair, wayne(instead of morigan) and me(archer/spec ranger).

even a high dragon with line up alistair, morrigana,me,wayne was easy to kill.

i was playing on normal.

Yep Shale+Force Field with three ranged characters is best. Two rogues with bows with stealth to wipe aggro will keep Flemeth on Shale.

I found her to be quite simple with a healer and visited only a few places.
On me rogue i visited a bunch of places doing personal sides quests adn stuff, and when i fought hurt all my damage was 1 with many misses. So depending how many main story plots you visit she will get stronger if you visit many or average if you barley visit any.
She was pretty easy with heals and pots without special tricks with only visiting the mage circle.Turn her around away from party keep tanks health near full if you do not have a healer and if you do keep tank at 70% so you have time to heal when she bites him and chews him.If you visited many areas you need to level up no amount of potions or healing will save you believe me i had 400 healing pots on the character that went exploring. When you fight keep your people away and only if the dps has indomitable on should you let them melee otherwise they will do poor damage. At the start of the fight she will send a fire ball so spread out or your low health members may die at the start.Force field will help if you can get the dragon to attack that person.I recommend healer and many lyrium potions if you want a regular fight. Also i do not think this can be done easily without a tank.

The key thing is to have your tank (Alistair/Shale) face her away from the group, so the fireball only hits one person.Use fire resist items (Warmth Balm and such).

Almost certainly need Wynne for this fight, because you can't bring Morrigan. (And when Flemeth is munching on you, you can't use a potion.) Leliana contributes a steady stream of DPS and the stamina regen aura.

If you're bringing a 2-handed warrior, Indomitable can help against the knockback.

That's about what I did, but I waited until I had some kickin' armor: me in Juggernaught plate, Alistair in Armor of the Legion, and Sten in... I forget... Effort? My gal and Alistair are both sword and board warriors maxed out on sword and board skills, Sten is maxed out on 2-handed skills. We're all level level 17 or thereabouts.

Both boys are set up to take health pots when their health drops below 50%, and Wynne is set up to take a lyrium pot when her mana drops below 50%.

I hate having to micromanage combat, so I spent a good deal of time coming up with some AI for them all, using specific abilities/talents/spells/etc, and it looked like it worked. Wynne spent far more time rejuvenating than she did healing, and we started out with 21 healing pots and ended up with 18. Nobody died.

Sten's AI was probably the most elaborate, after Wynne's, since his 2-handed skills are all pretty specific.

just equip shale with the +resist to fire and + cold damage crystals, he can not be chewed, I 3 manned this at lvl 12, as lynne got 1 shot at the start of the fight. kept wynne healing and just plinked with ice arrows from my dual wield rogue LOL, took a while but shale can tank this easy, alli got chewed up fast. if your below lvl 14 just use shale and u should be fine, still keep everyone away and spread out

The drake scale armor is like 33% resistant to fire, folks. I am playing mage, so they made light armor...so I put it on Leliana. That helps a lot!
