I.E. I think the only two are Miranda and Jack, and tali and Legion.

They need to be nearly at maximum or else you're going to lose one of them.

its weird because I solved Tali/Legion but couldn't solve Miranda/Jack. Though Tali/Legion was later in the game, however that still wouldn't allow me to talk to Jack (I pissed her off) using the greyed out P/R options.

I had about 90% Paragon when I was able to solve Tali and Legion peacefully. I've read you only need 80%. I don't know about Miranda and Jack.  I had much less when they had the arguement, and I lost Miranda's loyalty.

Put points into your passive skill set. This helps up your P/R lvl.

Again put points into your passive skill set.  You need to max it to get the option to use those P/R choices.  This is something I did not know at first that frustrated the hell out of me.

Ah, thanks. I have 2 powers waiting to be gotten to level 4, and I know I`m going to give those 4 points to my passsive skill.

Yeah, I'm not too sure about Miranda and Jack. I imported my first playthrough,. so I started the game with the bonus to my paragon/renegade stuff.

I wasnt sure fully how it worked but doesnt also that death mask give another 10% boost to speech or some such? I ended up with a few renegade choices as a max paragon with very very very low renegade quite late on in the game. I think it was from Tuchanka.

I had about 50% paragon and was able to charm Tali and Legion. I could not persuade Jack and Miranda.
