Developers:  Please release a patch to give us the option to turn off the aim assist.  It's highly frustrating, as a veteran FPS player, to have your
perfectly alligned headshots ripped away by a random strafing enemy.
To be aiming at an explosive container, only to have the scope snap to
the nearest enemy when I zoom in.  Trying to aim around the side of
cover, and going over the top because the reticle detected a closer
enemy.  It's not a deal breaker, but it keeps it from being the perfect
game.  Employing the aim assist from the first one, or at least having
the option to turn it off all together would have been appreciated.
I'm really just looking for confirmation on the part of the devs. that
this is a known issue.  Possibly a patch in the (very) near future?
Please help me out with this!../../../../images/forum/emoticons/pinched.png aim assist.

I turned the aim assist off in the first game. Havn't played the second yet (got a slow postman here) but I'd really appreciate if I can turn it off.

You can't. What's worse, in this one, the reticule corrects instead of the bullet, throwing off your shots horribly, especially in fire fights.

Bump. Bioware can acknowledge and talk about the text size (a non issue) but ignore a fundamental gameplay issue? Come on...

They're ignoring the Import Utility problems which are far more vexing to more people than some uber-gamer's headshot stats being dinged, so get in line.

Thanks for the bump, but if you're not going to help, go cry in your own thread.

We need to work together and not fight each other on which bugs should be fixed before others. Personally, I agree that they need to create a button to allow disabling of Auto Aim. It's especially annoying when sniping.

Thank you LarryBann, and I agree totally. Why are you going to just walk in and diss someone else's problem? I mean, at least offer an alternative, like I have been in all these stupid "I can't read it" threads. I mean they may not like my solution (just buy an HDTV or get rid of the game. QQ!) but at least I offer SOMETHING... This is something that, by what I've seen, has no solution yet.

Speaking of which, how do you zoom in with the sniper rifle? Or is there only one level of zoom (default)?

Move closer to them, or get rid of the game. QQ!

Left trigger zooms the sniper rifle. Tortuga: Getting closer defeats the purpose of using the sniper rifle, now doesn't it?

ok fine, kill the closer guy first or get rid of the game. QQ! And really I'd be shocked if bioware does a patch for this anytime soon, they have other more important things to fix/look into. I do agree with you that you should be able to turn it off tho.

Well if you're a "veteran" FPS player then why are you playing this game?

Tortuga, you're a **** for arguing with me when you agree with me. I love you. <3 DutRank: A veteran FPS player can't enjoy an otherwise excellent RPG with shooter elements? What a dumb question. Now if I had said something like "All I play is FPS", then it would have been valid. This is just asinine, and probably a troll.

Well, this is probably my first and last day on these forums. This whole message board is useless...

:D I'm mainly doing it to prove a point. People are having a problem with seeing the text and you tell them to upgrade or get rid of the game. There's only a few people complaining about the aim assist and what's the 'blink of the eye I don't have that problem but I don't want to be bothered seeing this topic' answer that i can think of? Move closer or kill the closer enemy first. And I agree with you because it was in the first one and while i don't know anything about programing, wouldn't it be just a short code to write that tells the game not to aim assist? It's just like with the text, which i do find kinda small but I can still read it, and all these other problems, I don't have them BUT they should still be addressed by the game maker and shouldn't be put on the buyer to 'just deal with it.' But than again I don't really use the sniper unless a guy really ticks me off and I want to see him up close when I kill him.

Nice job editing your post. Anyways, this game is a TPS, so being a "veteran" at FPS has no relevance at all and could have been left out.

And to be honest, I don't see this as being a "technical" issue so you're also in the wrong part of the forum.
