After playing this mission from last night until this morning (I will beat this N7 Mission on Insanity) there is a small bug/glitch that I finally notice, after five cups of coffee to wake me up.

When a Varren gets near the Quarian and starts to kill her you can't attack them any longer, which could be part of the mission but doesn't make any sense, at least to me. I've tried killing the Varren at different angles to see if it was simply I was shooting it at the wrong angle so my bullets could kill the Varren and they don't, thus failing this mission over and over again.

I have come to a break threw at how to beat this level but now I am stuck and if I change the difficulty to something easier I will loose my Insanity achievement.

Also the only one who can kill the Varren once they are attacking the Quarian is Zaeed with his Incendiary Grenade but in doing so also kills the Quarian as well which I haven't seen anyone do until this point of the game, I have yet to beat this game, this is my first run threw so I don't know if this is possible in othere missions as well.

Strange. I was near the quarian and the moment I found some sneaky varren chewing on my robed friend, I promptly killed it with... no, don't use fire - a regular SMG will do.

What class are you and what difficulty are you on by chance? I've tried this and it does not work, the Varren kill it even faster. I just tried this again and I still can't attack the Varren when they are so close to her.

I'm stuck on this one as well.. Harder than any other mission in the game, I swear, a lot of the missions were designed to be played only on Easy.. Insanity really and truly is Insane..

Depends on your class, with vanguard, soldier and infiltrator this mission is a breeze. As adept, engineer and sentinel its slightly harder. My advice bring 2 snipers, Garrus with AP rounds and another or Samara with reave. And use either a shotgun, vindicator rifle or a sniper (only recommended if you have are soldier and infiltrator for the slowdown). Also make sure you either have reave or warp on your character.

Just punch it in the face if it gets too close. It'll stagger it and prevent it attacking.

DAMN... I am playing as a Sentinel, and brought Grunt and Jack lol.. I have AP Rounds as my bonus skill.. This is so freaking hard, the quarian dies in like 2 seconds..

What happened when you tried to kill the varren?

I had trouble on Grunt's loyalty mission because one of the varren apparently had god mode on. I swear, I tried everything. Shot it a million times, with various types of ammunition. Tried using all of the tech and biotic powers I could on it. NUKED it with the M920 Cain. It still wouldn't die. If I shot it enough, it would briefly stop attacking and then resume shortly after.

I also thought it might've been part of the game, but I didn't run into that problem when I loaded the autosave file and tried again.

It's a bug! Sometimes enemies just become unkillable - it's happened to me several times now.

Yes, I had that bug once too on grunts mission, it just falls down at best then gets back up. Never had it on the Quarian crash site mission though but in both cases it is veren.
