I have 4 downloaded items, and all of them seem to have downloaded fine in the Downloadable Content menu, however none of them will install (or they haven't moved to the installed tab) thus meaning that I cannot use these items in the game?

If there was an "install" button after they downloaded then I'm missing it, but from what I've read they were supposed to install automatically.

Is anyone else having these problems and if so how did you deal with them?

After installing the 1.01 patch my game wouldnt start anymore, decided to reinstall, how should I know that the patch would require more work!!!? Seriously, yeah lets just release a patch that requires to update c++ libraries.

Well anywho, now my saved games can't load since I cant install the new content, they are downloaded, but just stuck at 100%. Nothing I can do to get them to move on, Im logged in, the redeem codes are allready used. I swear sometimes the illegal copies get better support than the ones actually buying the games, not only do I have to listen to the disc spin up all the time (pc dvd version), but I also have to accept crap like this. To bad since the game is really nice!
