I'm honestly not sure if discussing talent builds would be considered spoilers, but I'm posting it here just to be safe. So with that said, onto my question:
I'm curious as to what your talent builds are? Additionally, what extra
ability did you choose to compliment your build, and why? I choose Inferno Grenade at first, but thankfully we're allowed to 'respec' as many
times as we wish. I'm also wondering if there's a "Holy Grail" of builds for the Soldier. Anyway, here my current level 28 build:
Heightened Adrenaline Rush - Rank 4
Heavy Concussive Shot - Rank 4
Disruptor Ammo - Rank2
Incediary Ammo - Rank 3
Commando - Rank 4
Heavy Inferno Grenade - Rank 4
Calling All Soldiers! Talent Builds.

Pretty much same as your build except mine is Neural shockwave, not Inferno grenade.

I used my shepherd to give the disrupter and fire ammo since I was using Tali and Miranda most the time. out so I never leveled adrenalin rush and had him command 4, disrupter 4, incendiary4, and Reave 4

I got the squad bonuses for Disruptor and Incendiary ammo so my whole squad benefits from the damage, plus it makes leveling them early on easier since I don't have to spend points in their ammo types. After playing around with respecs, I get more damage by having my squad utilize the powers rather than me having a buff version on my own.
Went Shock Trooper and Geth Shields for more durability (playing on Hardcore). Have Adrenaline Rush at 3 right now, but am 1 point from going to 4. Constantly switching weapons and ammo types and always have shield and armor disabling powers in my squad. Miranda is a godsend early on since she has both.

The squad as a whole is more powerful if you avoid redundant skills. Some duplication is beneficial, e.g. having more than one Warp user, but having several people with Incindary ammo is not extremely useful compared to a different use of the skill slot.
Yeah, you have limited options in this regard because you have to choose from combinations of skills rather than individual skills, but some squad layouts are more potent than others.

Yeah, that's why I usually don't train my squadmates in ammo types that I have maxed.
I should make my above statement a little clearer. When I evolve my ammo types, I go for squad usage instead of more damage. Some characters don't get ammo powers so it works very well with them. Others, like Jacob, get one or two, but using him as an example, I'd rather level up his Pull, passive, and Barrier than being redundant with Incendiary.

Heres mine, similar to yours actually, just with one or two changes:
Heightened Adrenaline Rush - Rank 4
Concussive Shot - Rank 3
Heavy Disruptor Ammo - Rank 4
Incediary Ammo - Rank 1
Commando - Rank 4
Heavy Inferno Grenade - Rank 4
Cryo Ammo - Rank 0
I found that the Heavy Disruptor ammo is very handy, more so if you couple high shield/armour enemies with Garrus and the ability to toss grenades. It also seems to work vs Husks, though that could be my imagination and the fact I just blow their legs off. Also the heavy disruptor ammo seemed to work well vs the end boss, did better than the Collector laser anyway.

I'm building with incendiary/disrupter for organic/synth. The baddies really jump around when you light them on fire. maxed ad. rush/commando. right now I'm using barrier as a oh no don't die power. Conc. shot is good for krogan who might charge and taking a bit off of barrier types.

adrenaline rush 4
conc shot 4
disrupt ammo at 2
incin ammo at 2
cyro ammo at 1
commando at 4
I switched from inferno grenade to dominate at the end of the game
Got the machine gun assault rifle, pretty much just did adrenaline rush whenever I could and unloaded that thing....the collectors edition stuff is...junk...
bug suit..bug gun...all replaced by mid game

I fiddled around with a few abilities here and there throughout the game, but this is what I ended with.
Hardened Adrenaline Rush 4
Concussive Blast 4
Disruptor Ammo 2
Inferno Ammo 4
Cryo Ammo 0 (seemed to work best with pistols which I didn't use much.)
Commando 4
Barrier 2
I only got to level 28 with my ME1 import, but I'll go through again and probably dump Barrier for something else. Reave looks decent since it'll give me the ability to boost my health as well as drop barriers.
Hardened Adrenaline Rush was great for firing on the run while moving from cover to cover. It made flanking much much easier.
What I noticed with Improved Cryo Ammo (4) was that it didn't work all that well with assault rifles or the Revenant MG. By the time something froze, it was almost dead anyway. With the Incisor sniper rifle (the one that fires off 3 shots), stuff was dead before it ever could take effect. I did try it with pistols a bit and managed to get freezes far more readily. Problem is, I didn't have much need for pistols except when I was low or out of sniper ammo.
Concusive Blast was useful in so many ways. It gives Soldiers a much needed bit of crowd control and it recycles pretty quick. Especially handy since you can use it to hit around obstacles.

Hardened Adrenaline Rush: 4
Concussive Blast: 4
Disruptor Ammo: 2
Inferno Ammo: 2
Cryo Ammo: 2
Commando: 4
Heavy Warp Ammo: 4
Heavy Warp ammo pretty much makes all the other ammo types redundant. Except for Cryo, but AR dont seem to freeze targets much.

There are builds for Soldiers? huh could of fooled me.
I just point and shoot with warp ammo and call it a day.(pretty boring I know)
The Heavy Weapons are WAY more interesting than any skills for a Soldier imo.
Rarely do I even bother bringing up the "ammo" tree.
Pretty uninteresting elements of the game imo.(way too shallow)
