Granted, but hours are now ~8% shorter. Also, laser sword fights will be replaced with tennis matches and every character in LotR will be played by Orlando Bloom.

And you have to watch the movies with a nerd who constantly complains about the lack of Tom Bombadil and that Star Trek is the only real science fiction. And 3 hours (165 min, 36 seconds) into your marathon, your TV starts mucking up, gradually losing colour until you can only guess from memory what's happening on screen. At least the audio helps a little, with what you understand over the static, that is. And then the machine explodes, setting fire to your house and melting your DVDs. Which is when your chums decide to visit you, but as they see the smoke rising into the sky they turn around as one man never to be heard of again. Did I forget to mention that your parents died? Because they did. And you didn't become Batman because of it!
