I accidentally registered this with 1 letter wrong in my email (god knows why it let me).
Now, whenever I try to delete the account and make one with the CORRECT email - the site throws me back into this account (which should be dead). I know this because it still lists my incorrect email...
I want this account dead, but the site doesn't...

Deleting your account here doesn't delete the EA account behind it, and most of your information is preserved with that account. Do you already have an EA account associated with the correct email?
If not, just go to https://profile.ea.com/myinfo.do, login with the incorrect email address and password from this site. Then click on Update My Info and change the email address to the correct one.
If there is already an EA account with the right email address just make sure to login/create account by email, not by username. You will be prompted to choose a new username. You will probably not be able to reuse your username if you can't change the email address on the old account.

Thanks for the response but I figured it out (hence the OP disappearing....kinda).
I had to verify my EA account's email address before trying to log in with those details here. I deleted the account (same as before) but this time it didn't revive
