After playing ME2, I saw the startling lack of any truly magnetic antagonists.  The galaxy is a big place, what are the odds that we won't find another good-looking and brilliant badarse?  I've yet to find someone worthy to be Sheperd's antagonist: A naive turian SPECTRE, a balding politician, a not-so-charsmatic businessmen, and an armada of giant, mechanical flying squids.

An inspired idea. Perhaps they'll introduce Sheperd's Joker in a campaign expansion.  Flying squids, eh?  Ha!

Well, they do look a bit like squids.  Makes you wonder if ALL the Reapers look like that in their adult form.  They don't have to put in a Joker-like character per se, just a sexy, new (hopefully) human antagonist that just draws you in.  Maybe even a romantic interest....? Posted Image

I can truly see it. Sheppard's dashing antagonist, Dimitrio!

He'd be the epitome of the stereotype of the charming, european villain. He'd do everything Sheppard can do, but with more style... more flair. Sheppard would run in to watch him own the badguy.

"DIMITRIO!"

"Too late, Sheppard...." *He does a little fancy bow then disappears in some sexually ambiguous and badass manner.*

Hmmm, how about if they showed a romance scene in outrageously innappropriate times (i.e. Shagging as the Geth/Reapers/Pirates are after them)

I think if one of your squadmates so far turned on you would be cool

I could see jacob or gaurrus or thane or subject zero being your nemisis.

Its even better because you have a history.

Miranda, Miranda's sister, Thane's son, Liara, WREX, ARIA, all could be great antagonist

They could, indeed.  But we already met them and none of them really gave off a vibe that screamed "Come hither!" THe closest that came was Morinth and she was a disappointment.  Posted Image  No, we need someone like Pierce Bronsan in James Bond movies, someone ELSE that can save the galaxy with only a pistol and a toothbrush.

While Sheppard is fighting off those Geth, DIMITRIO is busy shagging the LI!

Instead of a gun, does he carry a cutlass and wear 17th  century garb? :P

Not all the characters were THAT horrid.  I thought some were rather cute, amusing even (except Miranda "Arseface" Lawson).  But, yes, none of them had the qualities that make a true "badarse".  We can always hold out hope for future DLC's.

Kudos for the Pirates of the Carribean refrence.Posted Image  I meant someone like Lara Croft for the males, and a ballsy, daring, and cool in all situations, kind of person.  I want my Sheperd to finally meet her match!

It's a bit risky, but I'm sure if they tried, Bioware can pull it off.

Pirates of the Carribean, or Pirates of Penzance? (or rather, Pirates of Normandy?)

Ooh, yes!  Joker is actually an undercover spy, his illness is just a cover.  Hmm.  On second thought.

At any rate, Bioware seemed obsessed with having your character fall in love!  I mean, come on!  "I care about you, Miranda."  It was as muchas a turn on as him asking you to have his children.  What are the odds that Sheperd is the only predator in the galaxy?

Whoops, my mistake!  The romances and characters also left me feeling a bit pathetic. Posted Image  It made me look desperate.  Or horny.  Or desperatly horny.  At any rate, perhaps bioware will listen us and give us better romance dialogue and characters. Posted Image

Hmmm...get Wayne Pygram to voice a bad guy. That'd probably settle that 'problem'. (^_^)

The romances were a bit virginal, for my tastes. (especially Tali's)  Bioware makes it look as if being nice is all it takes to get women to their beds.  It doesn't.  They could improve this by consulting the experts in this field.

for my paragon the Illusive man is a very charismatic bad guy, my other shepards view him as less of a bad guy, but still.

Right, he wasn't very convincing that we were doing the right thing.  That's what makes people so dangerous.  "If you are persuasive enough, one can control the world."  Quoted word for word from my college Psych class.

And Dimitrio should be a midget with a mustache and a Cary Grant accent!

That will show Shepard!

One thing though.... who cant Dimitro be an alien? I'm assuming everyone here has him/her imagined as a human so far.

But really if there had been another human who was as all around bad arse as Shepard, Anderson would have tried to get him/her into the S.P.E.C.T.O.R.'s soon after Shepard went missing (I'm amazed the Alliance did not insist on Jacob, he practically was an Alliance version of a SPECTOR already).

And heck, if such a person existed Udina would have been all over it in the first game, the moment he felt no more use could be pulled out of Shepard.
