Ok so I got ME2 collectors edition for PC and when I try and connect to the Cerberus Network I get the message:

"Cerberus Network requires internet connection. Please ensure you are connected to the internet and try again"

Im on XP service pack 3 and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. My Dragon Age: Origins can connect online happily. I've been through every post and solution I can find on the internet and nothing has worked, so is there anything I can do or will I just have to wait for a new patch to come out.

Try shutting off your antivirus and check your firewall and router settings to be sure it can access the internet.

I should have mentioned I've already turned off my firewall, and disabling my antivirus hasn't worked

Same problem here, anybody got any ideas? Firewall turned off. Do I need to forward ports from my router?

Here me too, looked up the internets seems that e.g 80% got this **** a few people can go on this network but i can't.it sucks i mean on one hand i can understand ME2 ist big lots of people BUT its ****ing EA so a)you got the ****ing money GET THE PROP SOLVED b)they now want to go on DLC and make money with that because of illigal copies but they can'T get ther act together and solve this prob so EA if you read this FIRST you plan HOW you give the players the DLC not going first on PAYING and then run around doning ****all

I'm really shocked, it seems it's been a while since I've seen the support forums for a newly released game so packed with different issues right after its launch =/

With all due respect (and there is) those who developed the Cerberus Network made bad and amateur job.

It's slow as hell.

Worst of all, it block the game! I don't want to connect and still, until it won't get response from their servers I can't start/load my game. Shame.

Let me play without being dependant on some fancy feature I don't even want!

I had the same thing "Cerberus Network requires internet connection. Please ensure you are connected to the internet and try again" even tho i was online looking at the boards, so i just let it go.

seems i can connect to CN but i have to start the game offline. minimize the game, connect to the internet and then i can log to CN.. this trick didnt work few days ago.. strange

I am having the same problem since 3 weeks ago, tried everything I could (disable firewall, antivirus, not using router etc).

So far I haven't been able to enjoy the DLC content at all.

Contacted EA support but they stop responding to me after first email.

I just bought the game today because I knew there were going to be issues for the first week or two. I'm shocked to see that this hasn't been addressed at all and I am having the same problem as you guys. I've opened all the ports they said to in the read-me, made sure they're actually open, turned off my firewall entirely. Nothing works. What a shame.

I posted about this problem recently, I'm assuming my fix won't be the same as yours, especially as my error was slightly different. The issues could however be related, and ofcourse if anyone here has COMODO firewall, that could also be it.

I suppose this is what happens when EA get paranoid about people torrenting their games, they d1ck over the loyal customers with BS ideas that they dont test properly or are lazy with the programming on!

Interesting. I know my boyfriend uses the COMODO free firewall on Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate and he's not had a problem with connecting to Cerberus or I think I'd have heard him complaining about it by now. What's important to mention though is that he does have the COMODO Defense component component turned off. COMODO Defense is absolutely crap and useless, without that COMODO is actually a pretty decent firewall.

Are there any ports that need to be added to a firewall?

I know I had to add some for my brothers DAO, but I've searched and searched and searched and have found no listing whatsoever for ports! It's insane! I've registered everything, downloaded all the content now I can't use it because I can't connect to the CN ingame! Bioware have already verified that I've got the game legit, now let me use what I paid for!

Okay, literally two pages after this post I found what I was looking for! Figures....

Anyway, what fixed it for me was just opening ports, and they are as follows;

TCP 42100

TCP Port Range 15200-15300

TCP Port Range 9945-9994

TCP 80

I got all information from this page http://forums.marios...hread.php?p=328

I hope this helps everyone with this very annoying issue!!

(also, sorry for double post :P)

I installed ME2 a couple of hours ago.

When trying to connect to Cerberus Network in-game I first get Please Wait down in lower right corner and then I come to a text that says the connection was interupted bla bla bla.

Opened the ports in my Netgear router as instruction above. Disabled my F-Secure Internet Securiy suite. Still no connection online from in-game menu.

I have patched it to 1.01.

Registred the game on Bioware website, redeemed codes for DLC.

Downloaded the DLC from Bioware site. Installed the DLC. Fine.

But now I get a text everytime I start that the DLC is not autorized or something and it says I must log in on Cerberus Network. But I still can't do this! :(

Pls advice me what do do. Thanks.

//Pat
