No I stayed single because I didn't like Liara or Ashley. Was going to do the same in ME2 but then Tali

If using Kelly to get her to feed your fish is cheating?

And I did the romance with Miranda on my main Shepard. Sorry Ash, but you cant even hope to compete with Yvonne Strahovski. Her voice is so amazing, I love it.

I did not have a ME1 love interest. I like Ashley and Liara, but not really as romances for my main Shepard.

Wait you can get Kelly to feed your fish? So thats what they mean by "friends with benefits", that would be handy as I keep forgetting to feed my fish and have to buy new ones every few missions.

Anyway as for my Shepard he diddnt have a love interest. In the first Mass Effect Ashley was coming on a bit too strong so she had to be Virmired, why? Because my Shepard is a lone wolf, a solitary eagle, a cuddly baby tapir and thats why I love him.

Edit: err not in that way though, strictly bromantic.

Nah, I really liked Ashley in Mass Effect 1 personally and none of the others really 'did it' for me in Mass Effect 2. The Horizon encounter didn't make me change my mind either, I figured it was more interesting for story to have one singular romance that grows and develops between Shepard and Ashley than it was to have multiple ones.

But still that's just my view on the matter.

If I'm forced to hazard a guess, discussion of the title question by posters who either missed it, were not registered, or didn't yet have an answer at the time of its original posting. As it duplicates no thread I've noticed in the first few pages and there's nothing time-sensitive about the question, I'm curious as to the source of your bias against resuming a discussion that's not otherwise ongoing as compared to starting a new thread on the same topic and cluttering up the forum database?

Changed my mind about Kaidan once he tore into me on Horizon after waiting to see him again... and then, Garrus. I had no intention of being with anyone else, originally. I now have a Shepard I made for Kaidan to resolve the conflict. I feel like it's best to start ME3 with my main Shepard, who ended up with Garrus post-Kaidan, although I do not want an emotional horsewhipping right off. We'll see what happens!

Nope. Didn't bother romancing in ME1, saved myself for Tali. Can't have guilty conscience to be with such an amazing girl. :P

Does it count as cheating if you do a separate playthrough for each available romance? :innocent:

Yep! Liara turned out to be a Ruthless B***h so i choose Miranda instead.

There's a contradiction going on here.

Hahaha Nope! Not in my book!  Though my femShep who romanced Kaidan did pursue Thane.  I got the feeling that the encounter in Horizon pretty much ended things for them.

I didn't let her cheat on Kaiden, but the way Shepard layed on that table and spoke to Jacob was shameful!

Not really. I just made two separate save files, one for Thane and one for Kaiden.

I just hope that in ME3 there's equal treatment and care for those who stayed loyal to their ME1 interest and for those who pursued a ME2 love interest. I don't want some crappy cameo for my ME2 or ME1 lover again. <_<

I was with Ash in the first game then when she sees you on Horizon and yells at you for not calling her for two years even though you are dead I broke it off then went to Tali but felt selfish for risking getting her sick or possible some virus that could kill her so I went with Miranda.

I am still not really convinced that Miranda is really intrested in you she might just be doing it for the TIM to get close to you.

I might try to get back with Ash if it is an option in the next game.

Yeah, guilty as charged. In ME1 I romanced Ashley. In ME2 the original plan was to stay faithul to her but Miranda was just soo damn hot ( even though Yvonne is hotter ) that I was begining to feel tempted, Ashley's absence from the squad made things worse but it was her reaction to seeing Shepard again that pushed me into Miranda's bed, As far as I am concerned Ashley made it quite clear that Shepard and her were done, it was only fair that Shepard would move on. The fact that Miranda let's alot of her walls down and seems to develop genuine feelings for Shepard means that I have no regrets about moving on even though I knwo it will come back to bite me in the ass in ME3. Unless Bioware ret-cons Miranda and makes her a **** again ( or at the very least as ****y as Ashley in ME2 ) I'm sticking with her for the long haul.

I took up Mordin offer for an exam later. I was not happy to find she did bug me, nor was I pleased about WHERE she put it, and just disturbed wondering why TIM would want it there...

In my first playthrough yes, I just chose Ashley to see how the romance was; I really wanted Tali :____( So in ME2 I didn't think too much about it.

In the second playtrhough no, just to see what happends in ME3.

In the third i will not, i'll have no LI in ME1.

No, Ash blatenly dumped me on horizen and i had been dead for 2 years so i think thats a relationhip breaker right there and i find Miri to be a much better character IMO.
