Did you expect a lot of total agreement on this topic?
I care not to be honest.
It's a game......and I enjoy seeing how worked up people get. It's great entertainment.
I agreed with your initial post and though people were overreacting, but seeing most of your replies I guess they were right after all. Nothing to see here, just a troll trying to get a rise out of people, move along folks... sad indeed
and your post is what?
Funny how you people come in here throwing your toys around when someone disagrees with you. Calling them trolls and telling them to go away.
So what if I trolled a few of the mandos that came in here ONLY to mouth off. There's some valid discussion going on here but the "OH NOES!!" are too busy foaming at the mouth to actually read the content of this thread.

To be perfectly honest you've made no valid points in this thread. The only thing you've said is you thought ME2 was a better game in every way than DA. That's not fact, it's opinion. There is no way you can prove that ME2 is better since both can be good and when two things are good its a matter of preference.
What exactly is your point?
I think ME2 is better in every way.
Others don't.
and there have been several facts throwed around, not my fault if people only read the title of this thread.

Someone please give me ONE valid reason why ME is not an RPG.
Then I will sit back and make fun of you for like 3 days or something.
if you asked me, i'd say because the choices that characterise a RPG are used in MEs as "spice" rather then the main course.
MEs are about Shepard kicking some butts, which can me made to look paragon or rebel. a RPG is not more proactive in the character definition.
Okay then by that logic Dragon Age is not a RPG when compared to table top D&D.
Really DA only has certain RPG aspects added for spice.
and you are right about that. ask any tabletop RPG-er and he/she will confirm. this is why the games we play on console or PC are called CRPGs.

People seem to be confusing "trolling" with "Disagreeing"
It's what they do when they have no valid argument.
It's either you're a troll. Or they tell you to go away. Or they tell you that the game they love cannot be compared to ANY other game on the market.
It's weak tactics for a weak mind.
Top it all off they feel bad because they are being played like a fiddle and can't do anything about it.

Bioware has trouble developing original games. Expect Dragon Age 2 to be to be the improvement to this series that ME2 is to its its own.

My point is it is idiotic what you are saying. You can't base opinion as facts. 2 + 2 = 4, thats a fact. What you think is a better game, that's opinion. I don't know what you're trying to achieve.

Oh dear god you can't be serious or that dim, can you?
You just quoted what I was replying to....
" and there have been several facts throwed around, not my fault if people only read the title of this thread. "
What facts would these be about, if not the thread topic in which you say that ME2 is better? Cheesecake, perhaps? Take what I quoted, what you said, and apply it to what I said.

Mass Effect 2 is more polished, but David explained why.
However, this topic is pointless - it's like talking about novels or music. Different tastes... It's fine to voice your opinion, but be ready that lots won't share it, simply agree to disagree. Even if 90% agree with you, even then the 10% won't be wrong.

So Bioware, I love you guys, always have, but let's be honest here.
Mass
Effect 2 is superior to Dragon Age in every possible way. The graphics
are tons better, the action and combat is much more smooth, the story
seems more detailed and fleshed out, the characters are more developed,
I could go on and on.
My question is why?
Dragon Age
was in development for what.......3 times as long as ME 2? Wasn't the
dev time about 10 years? If not it was VERY close to it. Why is DA so
far below the level that ME 2 is?
Did you guys just get sick
of working on it? Were you just ready to get the thing released after
all this time? Is ME 2 the goldmine that EA was looking for, therefor
more money was pumped into the project?
I just don't get it.
I didn't realize just how far behind DA was until I experienced the gloriousness of Mass Effect 2.
I don't know, the way you worded all that gives the impression it's not opinion rather it's factual. You did essentially proclaim ME2 is superior in every single way after all.

As far as romances go, you can play the entire game without talking to a companion, make one conversation; boom your in the sack. Likewise with loyalty. Not that I entirely care too much; but since so many people seem to - the achievements in ME2? What a joke.
I've finished 2 playthroughs of ME2 and I'm not entirely sure why. I would like to think that its because I was expecting more out of the second playthrough and that the characters I took along through the first were hopelessly shallow and I scewed up; but lets face it...they all blow. It seems like they focused too much on the amount of characters vs. the amount of character depth.
The answers to the questions I'm left with aren't as important as the reasons I'm left asking. The ME story to my understanding was originally written as a trilogy, yet the fluidity seemed lacking into the sequel, not so much as a bioware - obsidian handoff; but lacking. I can only hope the third is redemption for the Mass Effect team.

I really don't see the problem with Dragon Age at all. It's an excellent game, ME2 just happens to be better.
Then I don't understand you...mass effect 2 isn't a roleplaying game it is a shooter game with lite roleplaying. I prefer this game much much more. Hands down I consider this the better game. But then I'm the crazy guy who liked mass effect 1 more than mass effect 2....

So right, ME totally bored me I wonder why I should even try ME2. Since Doom all shooters are boring and more low level SF story in one won't help it make it better.
