I have played through mass effect 1 3 times. Dragon age twice. Now doing second run on mass effect 2 even tho first try i got all upgrades no one died and basicly perfect ending.

However each time i play thru the games i pick the same dialog options do the same paragon speeches and make all the same choices for outcomes rather than see other stuff from the more renegade point of view.... how odd is that hahaha.  I just cant get myself to do things diffrently same with fallout 3 and other games.

Anyone else do this?

I used to be like that too... but then I just decided that they're just games, so I pick whatever I find most amusing. Only on my 2nd playthrough though, I try to be srs for my first one.

I usually like to try and stay in the gray areas. Sometimes being paragon is just too nice. Sometimes renegade is going too far. My chars usually stay in the middle. And if I miss out on some dialogue options and unexpected things happen that I can't talk my way out of, well... that's life. I chose, and now I live with it.

^ It is unfortunate that mostly "neutral" = "meh" here. There are lots of dialogue where the "neutral" option just ends it.

For me, the answer is clear - of course I do the same. The novelty of the experience isn't in what is said, but in enjoying the process itself. I'm going to start a second playthrough with femShep to listen to Jennifer Hale.

That said, I am going to try and play the entire game as Renegade. I tried it in ME1, and only got as far as the Citadel... it was so annoying.

Im not a true paragon by any stretch, but I have such a hard time choosing the darker routes, and often I'll just hit the right trigger out of curiosity, then kick myself after cus it's not something I would ever do. I think I'm going to play straight renegade this time, with a vicious adept, we'll see.

The same with my first playthrough.I do all paragon every1 lived..

On my second I was interested in the scars, and wanted to see what they looked like later on in an evil playthrough...

In the endgame missin I tried to get as many squadmates killed as I could and still survive.I killed 4 of them off...

*Spoiler*

Miranda isn't perfect, because she is human, asari have better bitic powers then her...

Am I the only one who was killed by Mornith??after endgame???

I basically make a character, literally. My Deimos Sheppard is kind of a Malcom Reynolds mixed with Captain Picard. He wants to do right, he learns the customs and ways of others, he can be very diplomatic but he's not afraid of getting his hands dirty and doing something not so nice if it means accomplishing his goals. Most of the time that means playing the good guy, being diplomatic and making sure people around are supportive and get what they want, sometimes that means being a jerk or doing something underhanded in order to get the job done. He even helped out his old gang because he knew it was better than them causing a problem while he was dealing with Saren. He hates working for Cerberus and plans to take it down from the inside as soon as he can.

My Abigail Sheppard however is a pure **** sometimes, she cares only about the mission and accomplishing it. If that means been nasty to Udina she'll do it, if it means making nice with the Council she'll do it. Whatever she feels is the best course of action she takes it. My girlfriend once joked "I bet half her crew would sing praises if someone punched her in the face after her being rude to them" She knows and respects other alien races, and respects her crew for what they put up with, but the only person who has actually ever seen her softer side is Liara. Only person she fears is her mother. She also hates working for Cerberus mainly because she feels like they put a lease around her neck.

Alex Hijo Sheppard is a bit of a wild card. Sometimes he's the nicest guy in the world with respect for everyone and everything in the galaxy, only to sound like a racist and a pissant who basically should be shoved out the nearest airlock. He was the Sole Survivor at Akuze and it messed with his head, he's never been the same since and as a result his behavior is very erratic. He doesn't care that he's working for Cerberus most of the time, and other times I plots its destruction.

I find pure paragon or pure renegade playthroughs to be rather boring and unrealistic. Every playthrough I go through I take my class, Background, and distinguishing service and use that to form a full backstory and personality for the character and go from there. I make the choices in my game based around that backstory and personality.

i always prefer the paragon route but i also like to try to see every available outcome. also hate playing female characters but play them just to see the effects on the characters and story. just gotta put up with it for the greater good :P
