I tried restarting the Content Update service but it didn't work out. I still cannot load the game.

The content updater service didn't start? Or starting it didn't make things authorized?
I've got a write up of some simple things to fix the content updater in Section 5 of the DLC In-Game Errors FAQ
If the Content Updater service is working, you may want to regenerate your My Documents\\\\Bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings\\\\profile.dap profile.dap file, which is where the authorization is stored. Rename the file to something else and the next time you log in via the game it will be regenerated. Your achievements are also stored in that file, so don't delete the old one until the new one is working, and you see if it fixes your problem. Achievements which have been uploaded to the social site will be redownload to your new profile.dap when its created.

Had the same problem right now, and regenerating Profile.dap did not help. Interestingly, Awakenings is still shown as authorized, all other content isn't. Makes me angry.

I just got that also Ghan. I can't access my saved game either.

Same problem for me, Origins content shows as Unauthorized although I have been playing with it for weeks. But Awakenings is still authorized...

I have the same problem. I tried regeneration the .dap file, but no luck.

I play video games to escape the hassles of real life. I will not accept the hassles of troubleshooting a stupid video game. Bioware, you have just lost all of my future patronage to you.

Well, the regenerate thing isn't working for me. I was playing the game fine several hours ago. This is very annoying. Any other ideas how to get the crap to authorize? Why in the world anyone would require a separate server thing to allow gameplay is beyond me---just one more thing to go wrong.

I can't play a single player game because a greasy neckbeard tripped over a cable in a server room hundreds of miles away. This morning my alarm clock crashed. What I'm saying is, the future sucks.

Thanks Bioware you just ruined my ****ing night. Was just hoping to get back to my game and bam I get this bull**** error message. Way to stick it to the people who ACTUALLY PAY FOR YOUR GAMES. You know the pirates aren't going through this bull****.

Anyone find out how to fix? I did the above, no luck. It lets me start a whole new one, just cannot launch the saved game. Pissing me off....

This is really upsetting....
I've had these games for over two years, with all the DLC's legally purchased (had to spend a little just to get enough Bioware Points)
Then out of the blue, all my stuff is unauthorized, teling me I have to buy them all again, O.O WTF!!
I had everything up to date on the latest patches etc....
Also tried to do the profile.dap thing, and it was a no go...
Starting to wonder if this is a problem with the EA or Biware Accounts or something, as I also notice on here when ever I try clicking on PC games etc, it just takes me to the achievements page, or screenshots, and not the sync page etc, I have to do it all manually....
I've even tried just downloading my stuff maually off my registered content as well (even though some things can't be downloaded like Stone Prisoner, Lucky Ring etc), and still tells me to sacrifie myself to a dragon
....
I'm afraid to even log into Dragon Age 2 now, seeing as whats happening with Dragon Age :s

Problem is at EA's end. It should get fixed eventually. Try to chill if you can. I know it's annoying.

Let me just chime in to say: *^#$&^ing G*d Dam*#^$&^it! Some problem with the EA servers, and I can't access the saved games on *my own* computer! This is what drives people away from paying for stuff! I am your actual customer, I paid *money* for this game. (I always, *always* do, I never pirate anything. But the pirates are getting a better experience: they never see any of this #$*&, and they can play whenever they want.)
I'm happy to support developers and publishers by buying their games. All I ask in return is that I be allowed to *play* them. I'm very, very angry right now. Does it show?

I got same problem yesterday and i spent 1h 30 to solve it. then i gone to bed (was too late to play)
today spent 1h so far, and honestly i'm really disappointed
i tried manually starting service by services.msc
i tried manually starting service by dos prompt (administrator prompt)
i tried renaming (and regenerating) profile.dap
i tried deleting DAUpdater folder and .xml files (like adviced in http://social.biowar.../58/index/81613 )
i tried all pertinent solutions i found in http://social.biowar.../58/index/81613 and http://social.biowar...58/index/759141 topic save for "download patch" and "manually download DLC" 'cause i got game digitally downloaded by steam
still, DLC contents are "unauthorized"
besides, i can play awakening, and they appear "authorized" in my profile page (and also got premium Dragon Armor on Mass Effect 2...)
i played without problem until 2 days ago
i'm really disappointed; i never had problem with console gaming and thus so far i'm REALLY considering giving up and stop playing this @#£$% game (i played more than 55 hours so far...)

Yep...I'm out in the cold as well. I bought the ultimate edition from steam (which includes origins, awakenings and the dlc's), played some a couple of days ago, and now it simply says my current saved game needs a dlc owner to log in. I wanted to finish this game before I bought da2, so you're missing out on some sales
Just to add my stat...21 hours played so far.

So is this a server issue for a singleplayer game? I finally have a free night to play some dragon age and I cant even do that?

stupid DRM, why Legal player have to feel this pain ?

Same issue with me. I have Blood Dragon Armor and Shale and it's worked for weeks but as of yesterday I can't resume my saved game because the DLC is "unauthorized". I'm surprised there's no official announcement of servers down or anything. That is, unless it's buried in a disused lavatory with a sign saying "beware of the leopard".

I'm having this issue as well I believe. I played until 1 am last night then shuffled off to bed. I had gotten to the first part of the game where it asks you if you wanted the DLC. I left it in the camp, didn't download anything, went off to work then happily came home wanting to continue my character's adventure. Now my saved game, completely offline, won't load. I've been trying what peeps are posting on here but none of it has worked so far. I don't really understand why it won't load a saved game that doesn't even have any DLC in it. Up until now, everything has been 'offline.'
