i love how everyone assumes that the path of the books is relevant to the game....... yes they are lore... yes they are mass effect... but this does not mean they discredit any opinions.. as they are just that opinions.... it literally could be anyone... or anything... regardless of information in either game... OR THE BOOKS...since bioware has yet to specify... it could be shepards mom for all we know :0

I think the Shadow Broker is a position that gets passed along. As soon as he/she dies or his/her identity is compromised, someone else gets the job.
I think that right now SB is Miranda's dad.  But if I'm wrong I'm sure that we will find out who SB is in ME3.

Not this again, please no not this. ME3 is going to be a very busy game as it is. Personally, I would like to see the whole reaper thing wrapped up in that time. There is a great deal more evidence that TIM and SB are different than the same. Conspiracy theories are welcome, but unless there is proof in the lore it remains highly unlikely to be true. Shepard has a legion of god machines to recycle. Somehow I think his event calendar will be a little too full to close down a information brokerage that has likely existed since the middle ages. If asari lawyers with their lifetimes can't track him down odds are pretty good Shep can't spare the time.

Oh and there is not one shred or fragment of a shred of evidence that Miranda's father is anything other than an obscenely rich and egotistical man. If there was something more to him that Miranda could have said to make him look bad I am quite certain she would have mentioned it.

Actually I think that TIM is not the Shadow Broker, after going back and replaying ME1 and ME2 again, I realized that its likely that he is very well connected with the Shadow Broker, and probably uses him as an information conduit.My bet...Miranda's father is the Shadow Broker, or part of the Shadow Broker's agency.
