First of all, what happned to the search option on this board?  I bet this topic has come up, but it'll be near impossible to find w/out a search option.  Oh well. 

According to this site, "should Shepard stay loyal to his or her original Love interest, a small
cutscene enroute to the final mission takes place in which Shepard
stands over and stares deeply at the photo, smiling." That's  the scene I got, and I was very satisfied. Thing is, I romanced Kelly too.  Oops?  Ultimately, I guess we'll see in a couple of years.

 Oh no wonder my photo was "over-turned". In the beginning I had apic of Liara. During the course of the game I flirted with Tali, Kelly, slept with Jack and seduced Miranda. LOL. Next time I'll try to have more of a good relationship. Also if you rush into sex with Jack she becomes ****y to you for the rest of the game and won't have conversations anymore.

I've heard that if you go a Paragon path w/ Jack, (no quick sex) the final scene w/ her is very touching.

Yeah, like Mungolian, on my third playthrough, I'll have to not romance anyone. That'll prob be the one I'll keep from ME3. I just pray that I'm able to keep everyone alive in the final mission.

You know, I have mixed feelings about Ashley.  Part of me wanted more chances to continue things, or at least talk to her again.  The other part of me considered her "well, better then nothing/the blue chick."  I like Tali, through, always wished she was an option in ME1.

Kelly is by the far the best romance. There's consistent flirting and a good build-up, lots of drama over saving her in the final mission, then a really good and unique payoff. Plus she doesn't count against your ME1 LI.



She doesn't count as a "romance" but she's not just a fling. She's just as much a romance as the others except there's no specific sex scene. But you'd have to be pretty naive to think there is no sex between Shep and Kelly after all they do. And the email constantly repeats because you can invite her up whenever you want.

But, all things considered, if you play the game and romance one of the characters in it, even if it affects the outcome in the romances of Mass Effect 3, have you played the game wrong?`No, you've played it right. You did what you wanted to do. People worry too much about what they're going to do tomorrow that they forget to do something today.

I was able to have dinner with her on my first playthrough, but now I feel like I missed it. I'm about 10 hours in, I've got Thane and Tali, getting Samara right now and still have Grunt, Mordin, Jack and jacob's loalty missions. Did I mess something up? I feel like I'd already had dinner with her by now last time. I've been very flirty with her and avoided saying that I still loved ash or wanted a relationship with Tali, but nothing yet. I hope she still counts as an LI in ME3, I've seen the videos for what you get when you complete romancing her, and it makes Miranda seem just like a fling borne out of pre death hornyness.

Agreed. Though I think she should count as an LI, and possibly continue over to ME3.

She doesn't affect your standing relationship with the ME1 LI, but could cause some ruckus should he/she learn you were doing your secretary behind their back.

Kelly also seems to go for FemShep. Still working on that play-thru but same flirting is going on as was with ManShep.

This is why I want one simple answer to one question: will romancing Kelly carry over to ME3 and turn into a full-fledged romance?! I'd rather not spend a play-through flirting with her and get the dance/sitting/cuddling only to import that into ME3 and suddenly have us as "just friends".

Meh, I considered the thing on Horizon a breakup and at least with my main I never played Liara or Ashley against each other and the same went for the LI's in ME2. Was always very clear where everybody stood - even if they still threw themselves at me.



Things will likely explode in ME3 but whatever, time heals everything.

  Good idea for ME3! But game would need to have more $ in it than ME2 to be a true CEO

hmm not sure what will happen in ME3. I romanced Liara in ME1 and throughout ME2 it seemed I was faithful, I had the picture scene before the suicide run. But I flirted non stop with Kelly, inviting her for the evening and got a 'dance' from her at the end. It doesn't seem to count as cheating, but it has to have some repercusions. Your ME1 intrest can't just let you get off that easily with your Yeoman and pretend it was nothing.
