Is there a special weapon that you can use to generate so much damage?  There is an achievement for it, so I am assuming that it is possible.   I just cant figure out how to do it.  I have over 80STR and that is still not enough.

There has been a lot about this if you searched. Make an archer and do arrow of slaying. Apparently mana clash also works.

Death hex followed by death cloud on the archdemon works too.

Ways I know of:



Arrow of Slaying (easiest)

Mana Clash (next easiest)

"Final Blow" (uses all stamina to add extra damage to one attack) available from the Berserker line of talents with full stamina + 2h weapon

Lol I haven't found it in a sword yet but if your a bowman ( I alternate between sword n bow n arrows) then if you use the arrow of slaying you can get the achievement that way... The highest points I've gotten using the arrow of slaying was around 450 but I had my master archer talent filled up... I love it when you can take out the bosses with 1 arrow hit lmao

Arrow of Slaying is the easiest. Leliana is always the heaviest hitter in my party regularly dealing 600-700 damage. Other than the ones mentioned above Virulent Walking Bomb is a good one too.

Mana clash is the way I did it, it can over 1000 damage under the right circumstances. Though I've only managed just under 800 so far.
