Is it anywhere near Immunity? What kind of situations can you survive with Fortitude on?

I'd say it's the immunity wannabe. It adds armor, not shields.

Its pretty good for Vanguards, saved my ass many times. I basically use it when im near death (one or two more shots will kill me), and it protects me long enough to find cover. Other then that, its just basically a glorfied instant shield

It's pretty amazing... And works quicker than Medi-Gel so you can really save your ass. Plus it stacks with the charge bonus.
