I really enjoyed farming for the Fade Shield.  Are there any other items that are a like?

just try finging the ageless or yusaris on your own.

Those two drop all the time when you get to the boss.  I'm looking for ones that you have to reload multiple times on Nightmare in order for certain stuff to drop, if any.

there is a certain shield in wardens keep that has a very low droprate.

I never got the Grey Warden Commander's Shield but I always get the Fade Wall. Is that a coincidence or the first item has a low droprate and the second a high one?

The Warden Tower Shield (dropped by Sophia Dryden) has an insanely low drop-rate. The fact it has teh same icon and description as Duncan's Shield makes me tihnk you're not actually meant to get it (it has a different model though). The Fade Wall is low, but a lot, lot higher. I've never had to kill Gaxkang more than about 6 times to get Fade Wall. Sophia I've killed well-over 50 and still haven't. No idea how long it took me to get it the (one) time I bothered. I ended up resorting to cheat codes to kill her after about 15 times.

I killed Gaxkang on my ps3 on nightmare and got the fade fall first time through, and got the warden tower shield for when i killed Sophia on nightmare, but on my 3d attempt.

I have made two small videos of Sophia and Gaxkang dropping thier shield:





The number of reloads before getting them is really totally different. Sometimes you get it the first time, sometimes you habe bad luck, which (after Murphy's Law) happens of course when making a video. I fought Sophia 60+ times for the video.

The trick with Sophia is to lie to her so that she seals the veil first. Else you have to fight her + all the other demons in order to see if you have to relaod. And that is really annoying when you have to do it more than 10 times.

the chance of both shields rapidly increases if you play on nightmare, according to wiki
