Is it part of the design that you have to get some Renegade points in order to finish the game?
Is it impossible to not get any Renegade points?

I didn't see any reason why you would have to get them. You know of anywhere specific that forces renegade on you?
Normally I get them twice on the Garrus mission, even if I'm going full paragon. "You're working too hard" is just too awesome to pass up. And shooting the mech with the rifle doesn't seem like a renegade decision to me, it's just a robot and you're about to kill it anyway.

I got 5 "Ninja Renegade Points" when I recruited Mordin, just after I talked to him after putting the cure in the ventilation system. I was wondering why, then i wondered if this happened throughout the game.
