Personally I like the regular armor just because you can upgrade it to how you like (and customize how it looks).

But I like the Inferno Armor because it gives the negotiation bonus...

Your call really.

I played with Blood Dragon armor cause it gives shield and power boost. Perfect for vanguards with with barrier.

I'm still not entirely sure whether one of the DLC armors is the best or if mixing and matching different parts can achieve better results. Never did find new spaulders... At the end of the day though, it's all about whatever you like. None of the bonuses seem so overwhelming that they couldn't be replaced by something you like more. My only problem is that you have to wear a mask with the downloaded armor. So of course I didn't use them, since I rather liked seeing Shepard's face and it seemed odd to me that people would recognize Shepard if she was wearing a big damn helmet over her face.

If you are a Sniper, i'd prefer N7 with the Visor.

If you prefer Melee, i'd pick N7 with melee-boosting bits.

the Terminus Armor from the Gamestop preorder is probably the best... 15% extra shields, 10% extra ammo, and 10% storm speed is kinda tough to beat. You can't match that using any of the combinations of regular armor pieces (you'd fall short in at least one category probably shields). the Collector's armor isn't half bad though with 20% extra health and faster regeneration. Blood Dragon Armor just looks cool, doesn't really have great bonuses. but it depends on your class. I figure Soldiers/Vanguards could use higher shields and more ammo (and running faster would help Vanguards) so for them I'd use Terminus Armor. Adepts could use a health boost and rely on biotics more than ammo anyway so probably collector for them. Infiltrators I guess I'd go with regular just so he could wear the visor that gives +10% headshot damage, and then mix it with armor pieces that increase ammo and weapon damage.

Blood Dragon is amazing for Sentinels. Probably solid for Engineers, Adepts as well. That 15% to power damage is nothing to sneeze at.

I think in the end it is what you like. My personal favorite is the N7 Armor for alot of the reasons others have said. You can customize it to fit you style of play and you can have it so that you can actually see Shep's face for dialogue scenes. Wasn't a big fan of the other armors (wish you could slice and dice/mix-match or at least change color with them). So I have them all, but ended up only using the N7.

I agree with what some people are saying about the mix and match system being a better armour than one of the single sets. I like that you can customize it just to your skill-type and player. I hope they keep that system for ME3!

Collector's armor is definitely one of the best... 20% health is huge plus the regen is nice and by looks alone enemies are probably thinking oh s*** run LOL
