OK, i'm very angry and upset about this so if you can please help shed some light...

I'm currently at the part where I need to require the reaper IFF. I have finished all the other missions before this and was just about to begin this mission when I realized that thane was not loyal. All of the others are loyal to me but him. I looked it up and it says that he was supposed to stop his kid from killing the guy you follow on that mission. But the problem is that on that mission it just had me follow the guy and update thane where he was. I continued to follow him then it went to a cut scene and his kid assassinated the guy. At the time I thought that was fine because I didn't have the option to stop him. So I finished that mission and it said I unlocked a new outfit and everything for thane. So I continued to play and now i'm here looking back and it says he's not loyal, I can't change his outfit and I can't go back to an old save. Does anyone know why this happened, has it happened to you and can I fix it without having to start a new game?

eep! This never happened to me during Thanes's loyalty mission, however though Thane's son threatened to kill the hostage, and (as always) i chose the Renegade option, and killed the hostage myself ...



But from then on everything turned out normal, and no bugs .... Sorry bud, could be a bug?

Woah! Man, that blows! Did you see the scene where the guy was walking then Thane's son start's to walk up behind him, and you call out his name? Because I think right after that is the big conversation where you stop him from killing the guy.

You have to go through the door after he stops (there is a renegade interrupt) to continue. If you don't, it is like you failed to follow him correctly.



I had to reload and do the quest four times to figure it out. I stopped when he stopped and thought I was good. I was wrong.

i didnt do it correctly myself and i forgot to save before i started the mission so i messed up entirely. Im goin to be doin a renegade play through so it doesnt matter but still it annoys me that i didnt do it correctly. was it that you had to go through a different door or something cus i was in the ceiling still when his son shot the dude who btw very well had it coming.

Not a bug, you failed the loyalty mission. I did the same thing the first time I did his quest. It's probably too far back in your game for you to want to reload it, but the next time you go through the quest, be sure to stay as far away from the target as you can while still keeping him in your sights. Don't stand directly over them on the catwalks or anything like that.
