Grunt (who is more of an up close and personal kind a guy) would be a good addition, getting their attention while you snipe.
Miranda / Grunt
or
Mordin (since it's so fun sniping at frozen enemies) / Grunt

I like to run Miranda for overload and warp. And either Grunt to absorb some damage or Garrus

^ Miranda is good for overload and warp ^
And grunt to get up close and personal, or somebody with pull, floating targets = epic fun

Miranda and any other biotic user I think is ideal for any group. I honestly don't see much use for "tanking" in this game, so being able to steadily use warp for instakills is hard to beat. Even on hardcore there are PLENTY of unarmored/shielded enemies for you to mass pull then mass warp explode resulting in 3 dead enemies quicker than just about any other combo I can think of. About the only other one I'd consider is Mordin for the above posted reason that he can flash freeze a whole mess of people resulting in easy sniping.

Miranda is the best squad member. For Infiltrators, Grunt seems like an ideal choice.

Miranda is not only good for Overload and Warp, but also boosting the Squad as a whole!

I too like Miranda and Garrus. That basically gives 2 people the power to deal with anything. For shields Miranda and Garrus both have overload. For Barriers Miranda has warp and Garrus has concussive shot. For armor Miranda has warp and I have incinerate. They're both pretty cool characters too, if they weren't, I would find an excuse to bring somebody else. Also this is a good team against synthetics since you have 2 overloads, and your AI hacking/disruptor ammo.
One of the coolest things in the game though, is how for all the loyalty missions you have to take a given character, and build a team around them. It's tricky, trying to stand up to Krogans in dialogue sequences, with Mordin and Thane as backup.

Anyone really. I think, if it were allowed, you could solo the game with an Infiltrator. Tactical Cloak is just that good.

Miranda and Garrus are my mainstays, though Kasumi for the double cloak action is fun. Team her up with Grunt to soak up some bullets while you're both out of sight it's a fun combo.
