So I have found a repeatable bug in ME2. If you move diagonally into the corner of a collision object that is slightly raised (by hitting back and left/forward and right etc) your character will float up into the sky and become stuck. The best places I have found are on Horizon at the picnic table on the left just past your first contact with the Collectors and on Korlus when the Krogan first get "released". In Korlus it's all those ramp edges that I would continually get launched into space and slowly float upward until my head hit the ceiling and I get stuck. I also get the same problem with fragile box debris.

This bug has happened to me a LOT - to the point I actually decided to come here and point it out to y'all. Obviously its a game ending type bug and  I hope that it can be fixed.

I posted two videos on youtube that show the bug in action. One shows the location in Korlus I kept getting stuck at (literally 6 times to cross this one section) and the other one shows the bug before and after it happens (ie how to duplicate it).

Korlus:

Thanks for your time

Yup, this game is riddled with bad collision spots. Its on almost every set of stairs too. I also got stuck during Grunts loyalty mission boss fight, but luckily I killed it while stuck and the ensuing cutscene got me unstuck. Again in the collector ship thats a trap for Shephard, on some stairs, causing me to reload. There have been a few that I have managed to get out of, but most are game-breaking and force a reload.

Would be nice if there was a fix for this, but I am highly doubting it could be patched in. Perhaps they could include an increased buffer between the character and collision objects, keeping the character from being able to touch and hop up on or in collision objects.

As it is now, I try to avoid stairs like they're the Omega plague, and am very careful about how I approach any collision object. Be sure to save your game often just in case though.

Another simple workaround would be to look at some of the custom coalesced.ini files that users have made to implement some cheat functions. One of them I saw included a no clipping feature, which I am sure would help greatly for this issue.
