1. They really Effed up the Reaper IFF mission...i was expecting a glorious mission to finally see the inner workings of a reaper and maybe have another chat with one, long since disconnected with his other reaper breathren and somewhat insane or a reaper that was killed by other reapers because it disaggred with something they were doing..blah blah blah...lots of potental.......

Instead I get a bunch of Cerberus crates and a ton of zombies, some of them in the new forms.....no idea how these new forms were somehow implanted on the 'dead' reaper..

2. I fought a huge terminator with an extra eye to prevent bioware from being sued. Very creative..

I agree, the reapers don't all look the same. In fact Harbinger has 4 eyes just like a Collector (you see this in the holo when he "releases control"). Sovereign doesn't have this.

1.Need more weapons. Not a lot more. A bit more. 3-5 per class is fine, 2-3 is not.
2.Sex scenes are stupid. They've been getting stupider. Nudity->Underwear->Clothes. wtf bioware.
3.Adepts are gimped.
4.Scanning is stupid.
5.Retard Helmets.
6.Team collecting too long, builds up to too little.
7.No individual weapon upgrades.
8.Crew still feels too static.
9.Combat fails to scale and gets easier, not harder :/
10.Crew Deaths felt random rather then controlled.    When you force a player to choose between a two characters, or kill off a character without a viable alternative, the player feels like a tragedy has occured.   If you kill off a character, based on reasons not always clear to the player, and due to his personal mistakes which aren't explained in detail to him, it just feels stupid.

1) People who really struggle with the idea of how to deal with constructive criticism about a game they have "feelings" for.

2) Minesweeping.

3) The occasional weak team mate death on instanity.

4) Gimme stats upon stats upon stats.

5) Being put in deep do do after a cut scene.

6) Having "auto use of powers" set to off then having my team split in two and having to put it to on in the menu system as I can't see one of them.

7) Not being able to have team mates auto use bullet types but not auto use other powers.

8) Did Shepherd just drink through his helmet?....then dry hump through his clothes?

9) Not sure levelling is that balanced.

10) No controller support even though the controls map really well.

1. Game causes sleep loss. Need warning on box. :P
2. An X should appear on downed teammate heads to alert you instead of the grey out. It's hard to notice in battle.
3. It's hard to be evil when you actually care about your crew, thanks Bioware.
4. A good power to have is regenerate clips over time. I'm too scared to leave cover to hunt for ammo.
5. I don't play co-op often. But, when a room full of friends show up and dictate my convo choices, I must obey.
6. I REALLY want to see a female Krogan/Batarian/Salarian/Turian/Collector/Husk/ETC...
7. Need... More... Funny NPC's.
8. Pallete swaps are NOT a new costume.
9. I want to dance at any moment, even in cutscenes.
10. Game ends...want me some ME3...now. (seriously, the game, it's like crack)

I have one gripe... This was the only thing that had bothered me through the whole game. This, and this one thing only.

1. No Female Krogan!

Wrex (or the clan leader) had mentioned women clans, and we see a body bag of a female. It was just driving me crazy through the rest of the game. I want to know what is enjoying sexual relations with these huge aliens! Seriously, they have to either be really butt-ugly, or "eeeeh..."

Just a small rebuttle...

Number 2- Try hacking, or bypassing, or just secrhing around. There is so many credits just lying on the floor.

Number 5- That's how it was in Mass Effect, you needed to talk to them after every completed story mission.

1) Ammo mechanic. Lame. So so lame. They could decrease cooldown so it's not god-mode or something, but just get rid of it. ME is not around for the battles. Sure they're part of it, but it's about the story.

2) No mini-map/compass. Gee guys I'd love to join the battle, but I just have to spin in an entire circle here a good 3 or 4 times to find where the enemies are. Oh! There th- oh you've killed them all. Ok next battle.

3) They took out all the immersive scenes. Like leaving the Normandy. Now you just get dumped at the "starting point". It's like I'm playing Halo or something. Please bring this back, it was part of what made ME1 so great and set it apart from other titles.

4) The convo wheel is MISLEADING. Although it's not as bad as ME1, it can still ruin your intentions pretty quick. Let's think of an example; when you meet up with Ashley (ParaShep romanced Ashley). The top option is "good to see you too". But instead of Shepard delivering a heartfelt line, we get him all casual and happy saying "hey f*cker what's up". It's like one option could be "I'll think about it", you select it, and Shepard says "Hey a**hole, I'll do it when it crosses my mind!! *furious push*". Maybe put an emotion in brackets beside the option or something? Channel the Elcor here BioWare.

5) I could seriously also do with having people walking around. If Assassin's Creed can do it, ME can do it.

Wow, so you've found the -perfect- video game for your tastes? Gosh, that's incredible.
Every, single, one of your likes and preferences were included in ME2?? I think this might be a first.  I'm not sure I've ever heard of anyone who was just, 100%, totally and completely, satisfied with all their being about a single game.

Well hey congrats to you!! I'm sure this must be a dizzyingly-happy time for you!

1.  Cover feature - When I say this I don't have a problem with the overall gameplay. I don't like the importants of the cover feature all the time. In ME1  cover was a option and it was usefull, but now it like: Go to cover or die.  I get bored sometimes running into cover everytime I fought.

2. Find or Die?  With only a few days after release questions are still raised on how do you make your squad members surivie the final mission. I'm not talking about the upgrades your squad tells you after they join you. I am talking about the upgrades that you find in locked crates and such.

Lucky I only had Sub Ject Zero die. Some say you need loyality while others say you need more such as personal upgrade such character's X armor as such. If that is the case that is so far random also in many cases you can't hack the same terminal twice if you fail. I just don't like not knowing if my squad is going to die or not. I could see if it were like ME1 where you could choose and doing something or letting your characters die. I'll be glad when something offical that tells you how to get everyone back from the final mission.

3. The fuel aspect should be left out in the next game. It was just another way of wasting money that it shouldn't have had in the game.

4. From what I hear the New game + isn't all that great.

I think of 5 - 10 later.

Ah, you've got to love ignorant inference.
First of all, I put one decent gripe, and that is a very big gribe. Second, I never said I adored every single thing about this game. But there's nothing I hate enough to come on a forum and tell all the other kids who hate the game who would be unable, most likely, given all their skill, to recreate a game of pong.

You hate the game so much? Stop playing it. Simple. So simple. Don't come on to BioWare's site to just smash their hard work. I understand constructive criticism to address certain issues that we can all work on to suggest a rectifying and plausible solution to the development team. \\

But this is just immature. Listing off reasons to hate the game does not help BioWare establish a consensus as to how to fix things and does nothing for you.

Just because I don't happen to hate this one doesn't mean I think it is perfect. We can't always live in a mutually exclusive-minded society where everything is causal to something else.

Before you assume I think the game is 100% read:

I am not a "kid", and I don't hate the game.  Talk about ironic ignorant inference.

Did you read my points? I never listed off reasons to "hate" the game, I listed off criticisms.  Things that I think are wrong with the game.  It's ok, I'm allowed.

And your pong comment is kinda dumb.  It's the old "he sucks at hockey" "oh yeah? How many stanley cups do you have?".  It's not a prerequisite to have complete mastery over something before you can offer your personal likes or dislikes about it.

There were a lot of people emotionally invested in ME1, which is good (read: succesful game for BioWare), and they changed a LOT in ME2, you have to expect some sort of response from it.

To the people who are complaining that not all the Reaper ships look the same, I would like one of you to point out to me WHERE it says that they are all supposed to. The only other Reaper that has been seen is Sovereign and one point of data does not equal a trend. Just because they are a race of machines does not mean they will all look alike, there are a number of different forms of Geth after all.

To those complaining about the loading screens? what kind of system are you guys running. I fully understand that a new game shouldn't JUST be tailored to high end systems, but my computer is two years old and thus far most of the loading screens haven't lasted any longer than about 10 seconds or so, most not even that long. Besides, every game of this type is going to have loading screens.

Just my two cents on those issues, I do find the inability to toggle the helmets of the DLC armor off very annoying and hopefully they will fix that soon.

I am not being ironic. I was not singling you out. You discriminated my post, and I used your attack as a portal to criticize all the people posting "This game blows" threads and "i hate the ammo so much!!" threads.
I agree I could have specified this more and made the criticism more general, for this I apologize.

This thread is counterproductive. It is essentially a thread to **** about the game. A lot of the points are valid, but no one is providing alternatives or their ideas for solutions. It's just a nag thread.

Bad: Ammo sucks.

Good: I was disappointed with the approach BioWare took with the inclusion of an ammo system. Though I have no experience in the field, I think BioWare should make it so that you can reload in a heated battle, but so that you also can passively cool your gun. Or maybe rapid-fire guns would reload where "bolt-action" could just passively cool. It is something I am hoping this company will consider this option.

Which do you think BioWare would respond to?

There is an ME3 suggestion box thread. If a dev looks on here and sees a "gripe" thread and a "suggestion" thread, which do you think (s)he is going to look at/respond to?

I am not saying you need to be an AI Programming Technician or whatever, but don't thrash a game that took years and time and education beyond, likely, any of our capacities.

My "gripe" also provides a solution. From my post we can deduct that my solution is more squad powers. Other people are posting similar "gripes" that have understood solutions. I am fine with that. Good.

But "ammo sucks," or "interaction with ME1 characters was lousy" or "planet minigame was boring" are not doing anything except proving you know how to go onto a website and attack something you never entirely thought over. These responses to not give development staff anything to go off of. Okay, so they know ammo sucks, but are they going to fix it if they don't know why it sucks or how us fans would like to see it improved? No. They're not, I bet.

It is similar to the "NASCAR sucks." sentiment. That's fine if you feel that way, but I like NASCAR. If you can back up your opinion with more than "oh, oh they do left turns" then you are worthy of complaining. But if you can't, then shut your mouth. No one wants to hear it. Every 20 minutes someone posts a "I hate this stupid game" thread. The fact that you care enough to play the game and post on its official forums is evidentiary that you are lying. If I hate something I do not log on to its website and purchase its content. I stay away. You should too.

I agree you have decent arguments. But that fact that you are willing to sarcasticlally attack someone who does not share nearly as many gripes disproves your maturity.

Perhaps if you had said: "Hm. I am glad, FoFoZem, that you have found only one legitimate gripe with this game. However, may I ask why you were not disappointed with [insert game mechanic here]? You see, if you think of it like this: [insert one own's persuasive argument] then can you not see why I find faul with it...."

But no you make up words and insult my intelligence, and you acted like a kid. SO I called you a kid

1. I really dont think there was enough to do. Maybe thats a given, seeing as how the first one unleashed an entirely new universe, so the second could never match up to the amount of things you feel you learned, but still.

2. In game one, while you were making decisions, your squad would cut in and say things like "you're not actually going to let this guy live, are you?" quite often. Game two: only happens on their loyalty missions, and very sporadically otherwise.

3. I dont care how many people get angry about this: I hate Jack. Im not paragon either. Im the opposite of paragon. You only see her go full bad*ss once, and its in a cutscene. She really isnt good in combat, or not "most powerful human biotic" good. Out of nowhere, on your loyalty mission (even if you were a raging ahole to her) she starts opening up to you about what happened. Not very believable. Its the only character in a Mass Effect game I completely disliked.

4. Hate to jump on bandwagons, but yeah Bioware, you went the opposite of controversial here. With romance scenes at least. Not a big knock on the game in my opinion, but...just...really?

5. Unless you really force yourself to stop and mine and crap, you will blow right through this game. Thats really a plus, because the story is so good, but I wish there were some way that you could get the resources and materials needed to upgrade by doing missions. "Hold on Collectors, stay there while I hold LT and move the left analog stick for 40 minutes" really takes away the urgency.

I love the game, I really do. Perfectly Mass Effect, they didnt do anything to ruin the series, or turn me away from playing for another 4500 hours. Well done all around.

...Oh, and to the people that keep coming on and saying "1. the fact that people complain" I say this: you can suck it. This thread is clearly titled "gripes." You dont want to hear them, dont click on the thread you idiot.

Looks like that now writers are demanded to include the token homosexual relationship, if they don't, it's a slight to gay rights. :innocent:
