I am sort of tooting my own horn I guess but i am just super excited that without help, without any advance knowledge whatsoever I was able to make the right choices and the right personnel decisions to keep everyone (including my crew) alive on my first attempt without retry.
I was so damn scared when I was having to choose who did what though!
Who else made it through on the first try?
I am uber excited to see who all I can kill now though!

Not there yet... still getting my crew loyal.. Thane is the last I have to make loyal.. Then I'm working on upgrading my ship, weapons, armor.. etc.
Good job tho.. What difficulty level did u play at?

Same here. Made it threw with no loss and hit level 30 on first run. I loved how they did the last mission, where you had to choose which members to take on certain roles. Makes you wish they had thought of this for Virmire back in ME1.

I am very surprised that so many people actually lost anyone. I found it very easy to keep everyone alive. As long as you actually play through all the content, and make sensible choices about the mission assignments, it's not difficult at all.

My first game, I was Paragon, and I won without losses. Wasn't really hard. Can't remember what level I was, dd a Normal difficulty run.

I agree with izmirth actually.
Miranda DID get shot in the stomach however, which had me worried as ****. But she was fine!
I played it on veteran.

I am willing to admit that I lost my favorite character, Jack. Not sure what I did wrong hope someone can give me a heads up so I don't lose her again.

In order to lose people, you actually have to make a choice to either not complete all of the content, or to ****** of one or more characters for the sake of RP.
Other then that, if people die, it's because you made silly choices.

I did, and I was spazzing out the entire way through waiting to get the achievement. Made level 30 and got all achievements save the one for insanity and combining multiple biotic powers.

I got so paranoid when I had to choose who did what task. I forget what time it was throughout the mission, but I put Thane as leader of a group and he died, getting shot to the stomach. Sad he didn't make it like everyone else's characters from the shot.

Yah, that scene where the diversion team joins back up. I had Garrus lead that one, so when he got shot in the stomach I thought "Man bullets really hate you. First on Omega now here." But after a quick check he and Shep exchanged glances and I breathed a sigh of relief. That was really cool BioWare.

I made it through with all my squadmates surviving, but I lost part of the crew...not on purpose, had I known you had to go straight through the Omega 4 Relay I would have. Ah well, next time then. I've got earlier saves.

If you read the bios before making your choice, then no one will die. I have read about people choosing Grunt or Thane or some such to lead a fire team. Are these people just making stupid choices, or are they actually trying to get people killed?
I'm not sure.

Aaww... Some of you made it with people alive? Bummer...
I lost Miranda, Zaheed (total D-bag and was unloyal so I practically through him out...) and Garrus. I would actually kind of like to know how to have kept them alive.
I only felt bad with Garrus because he's a older loyal one...

I made it through my 1st playthrough as a vangaurd with no one dieing. Everyone was loyal except for Miranda due to the fight with Jack. I am about to start my 2nd playthrough as an infiltrator.

I lost 2 people my first try. Mording died with everyone while holding the door. I sent Garrus with the crew because I felt it was imprtant they had a damn good escort to get them out safe.
I chose Grunt for Fire Team 2 the second time because it was a diversionary team and he can just take punishment. I thought he would be a good choice because of his ability to take a beating. In retrospect I should have known he wasn't a good choice because of his lack of leadership ability.
Also Mordin makes a good choice as the escort because he's good at being tactically evasive and the crew just needed to high tail out of there.
So I wasn't trying to get people killed but I did make a questionable choice putting Grunt in charge of the second fire team.
I went back and did it again making the right choices.

Well i regretfully lost some of my crew ( chambers, Gaby etc.) but i made it through with my squad fine. MVP goes to Garrus, who led both teams terrific, my ace in the sleeve.

My story,
my tech guy was Jacob, he died at the door, didnt mind tbh he was boring. my first squad leader was Garus, he survived which was good he was my favroute character from mass one.my dumber choices come into effect on part two. i sent Tali back with the survivors, they all lived that was good, she was my romance option. i put Grunt as secound squad leader (yeah laugh it up, it was a good idea at the time, good for nothing pure breed krogan if wrex were here.....) yep you geussed it he died. i chose Jack as the barrier gal went without a hitch. my squaddies at the final battle were Legion and Garrus. then Mordin poped his clogs for no damn reson. i made all ship upgrades and had squad loyalty, just made lame choices i geuss.... Oh and i was renagade not all bad but i got stuff done!
its not in Chronological order but you guys can figure it out,
