Well everyone must now know about the fish, although i've tried keeping some twice both sets have died.  I guess being the commander keeps you so busy you can't feed them (any chance of some DLC for a maid?)

I'd also recommend the space hamster from Citadel Souvenirs (I swear on inspection it talks to you)

Well, if you talk to kelly enough, you can get her to take care of your fish while you are away, but i fed the fish between every mission and i never had them die off on me lol.

Space hamster ftw... he doesn't require maintenance.

I'd like my own space monkey though. Shoulda been able to buy one. Then if you buy one he should wreak havoc on the ship and everyone you talk to complains about him getting into their stuff or jumping around on the drivecore or something.

if you have the hamster, your fish won't die because you forgot to feed them, but because they are intimidated by the pure awesomeness of the space hamster.

If I were to have a pet it would be a monkey that I could train martial arts and marksmanship with a sniper rifle...then bring it into battle or have it drive the Hammerhead

Best thing about a pet monkey is the near unlimited supply of biohazard grenades he could fling at enemies.
