anybody know what to do at the broken stone altar in elven ruins lower level? i click it says i need to place something there?

There's an item nearby (as in the same room) which can be placed on the altar via dialogue.

If you're at the part I'm thinking of, here's what you do:



Take the jug from the water.

Fill the jug with water.

Place the jug on the alter.

Kneel before the alter.

Take a sip of water from the jug.

Take the jug from the alter.

Pour the water back into the pool.

Go through the now unlocked door in the same room.
