I'm getting disc errors. I cleared my cache, unplugged the power, tried to install other games(installing the other games didnt work), tried both discs, nothing has worked. I've installed no DLC at all.
It all started with my first game, I was playing and right around the Archangel mission I started to get disc errors. So I install it to my hard drive, and then I go on playing. I have to switch to Disc 2 eventually and of course start getting disc errors pretty soon. So I try to install that to my hard drive, but i get stuck at 63% twice. I go and return the game, get a new one, come home, try to play the game and continue to get disc errors. So I return the game again today, and I begin to play on Disc 2. I had just gotten my info on Illium, so I decide that I can install it to my hard drive. Of course I'm wrong and I start getting disc errors on both discs shortly.
I'm really irritated at this point. I've tried everything and this is my THIRD GAME! This is unacceptable. Once is fine, but this is a complete waste of my time. Its a great game, but this is just making me furious.

Has anyone else solved their disk problem? Any other solutions?

Thats your disc drive, not the game. Ive been through 5 360s do to bad disc drives. It starts with one game, then pretty soon all games will do it.

Your right its done the disc error with my Modern Warfare 2 as well. Is there anyway to fix it or do I have to send it in to be repaired?

ctmaudi is correct. The dvd drive is bad as is mine (Thank Microsoft for the stellar quality). I see you tried my fix and it didn't work. That's unfortunate. The only real solution to stop this problem completely is to buy a new system or you can try calling Microsoft and have them fix it, but if you are out of your 1 year warranty they will charge you (only RROD is covered under 3 year). Also, if you send it in, you more than likely will not get your original box back which can have a whole new host of problems down the road. It's better just to save up the extra cash instead of paying for repair and buy a new system (Be sure to buy an extended warranty with it from your retailer though. It's good insurance and you will probably use it). It sucks, I know (about to buy a new one soon also) and most of us have gone through 2 or 3 systems already. So as gamers we feel your frustration. Good luck on your decision.

This is the 3rd time i've had a breakdown. There's a guy that I sent my xbox to, to fix my red ring and it came back fine. I plan on doing the same thing and see if he can fix it. If he can't it looks like I have to get a new console.
