I am getting ready to start another playthrough on hardcore. I've played vanguard and infiltrator so far. I kind of want to play a soldier but they seem to be pretty boring all things considered. Any opinions?

If you've never played a soldier, definitely pick that. It makes the game so much easier as a whole with all the different weapon classes. Also if you did the loyalty missions you can pick an extra ability to use.... tech, biotic, ammo whatever.... I definitely recommend soldier, it's not boring at all.

I guess I'll give it a shot, wish me luck. Yea, and about that insanity playthrough. I'm sure i'll do it at some point, but the AI is retarded enough as it is, I'm pretty sure I'd just end up soloing the whole game. Not really looking forward to it.

@Soldier: Is the warp ammo like the cryo and incendiary ammo plus the warp biotic ability? SAWEET! lol I just use slam as my extra talent

Warp ammo does extra damage to everything i believe, and in addition does extra damage on top of that to enemies affected by biotics

I was actually afraid that soldier may be boring.  I am going to do a second run and try to get the Insanity achievement (got everything else already) along with picking Morinth (did Samara for first playthrough).  Any particular hints you can give?  Like builds/teammates?  I've tried Insanity a few times with Adept, Infiltrator, and Sentinel.  Adept is too useless against shields and the like and don't do enough damage with guns.  Infiltrator runs out of bullets fast as it takes so many shots (even if you headshot) to take enemies down.  Sentinel is quite boring, and even with Barrier and Tech Armor, people destroy me in a few hits :/

How about engineer? Team up with Legion and Tali and your bots can wreck some havoc
