Hi guys

First, sorry for adding another of the many posts like these to ask one question, but I really browsed this answer a whole day and did not found a single simple answer to this problem:

I am playing ME1 and have this problem with the romance. I want to be nice to everyone and I got stucked with Ashley and only managed to success to have NO a kind of interest with Liara. Before Ilos I have to choose to have sex with Ashley or not to. ( I don't wanna be a jerk on her after the Citadel debriefing, so I choose the soft pattern and we almost share a kiss and did not happen ). I want to REFUSE the sex.

My answer is: Does this mean, that the relationship ends and that I can be free and try another person in ME2 WITHOUT the influence of Ashley from ME1? I really want to be single and try another person, if interested, and be free of all Ashleys mentions about previous actions? Simply: Am I in a relationship or not in ME2? Will I cheat her if I want to make a love interest with another person or not?

P.S.: Just answer please to this exact problem and not to tell me another possibilities that how to get rid of the Ashley.

Uhhh its been awhile now since I played ME1. So did u rescue Ashley in the end? or did you get Alenko? If you didn't rescue Ashley, then yes you can go on to a different relationship, and you can break the Ashley cycle this time (I did with Miranda, but im not sure how to explain...). Just keep playing and see what happens. I don't think you can pair together with Liara in ME1, or can you?

You can pair with Liara or Ashley. The thing is, that before Ilos I want to refuse sex with Ashley. Does this mean, that I am not in romance with her and that in ME2 it means that I am single and without a relationship?

there's a simple way to check if your single in ME2. In the captain's quarters there will be a picture of your ME1 love interest on the desk next to your computer if you succeeded. But as for your question yes I think refusing to have sex with them means you'll be single in ME2

Thanks >) Hope it's true. I was also thinking about that option to aquire ME2 and try that one, but U know...I don't want to do the final fight (Ilos and so on) again >)

Anyway I hope I'll be single >)

But if somebody can confirm me, that it's true on 100% then I'll be satisfied >)

you are pretty much dead for 2 years in the second game and ash and liara have moved on...you will be single.

There is no single or not. You do nothing more with either of the romance options then share a hug and a picture in captains quarters, which gets turned face down once you get the next girl in bed in Mass Effect 2.
